My arms don't hurt after lifting *next day*

So, I have never "lifted" in my life apart from when I was like 14 and I went to some kids gym at this leisure center

I do have muscle only from ordinary daily life and I gueese from being quite big that might have an affect on how they are or what ever

cut a long story short, I moved, I got fat from not going out (I used to run about like 10 hours a day) in about 5 years I got too 265 pounds
A month and a half into changing I'm like 233. I got a barbell and a bench started lifting (dumbells are on their way weeew)

    My current stuffs -

    I can bench 80lbs about 3-4 times
I can bench about 55 pounds 8-12 times

I never feel any pain the next day in my arms like I do if I was to a do a ab excersise which makes me think I am not doing a good enough job?

In the whole time I have done this weight loss the only things that have hurt the next day are abs, traps and legs after going on a bike ride.

am I right in thinking that I don't feel the pain the next day I am doing it wrong or not hard enough?

Just wanted to add this, I got some caffeine tablets and I have been losing weight/ going to the toilet so much more, is this because of them or?

    Cheers

80 lbs on each side of the barbell (205 lbs) or 80 lbs total? You really shouldn't have hurt arms after benching anyway. Maybe a little but not like 20 sets of isolation lifts...
    Barely decent crew

DOMS varies amongst people. I had crazy DOMS like the first week I started getting back into it a while ago and now I barely ache even though I'm going to failure on like every set I do.

For the love of everything holy, dont tell him that!!! LMAO,

OP, go to the supersite on homepage. Click exercises and arms, bis, tris, whatever. Find some high rated vids, watch said vid for proper form, do the exercise. Dont do said exercise in the squat rack, unless you want to be "that guy"

    35KG x 6
    20KG x 23
    25KG x 13

Wow, thats a big improvement from when I started

(took about 2-3 mins between each thingy)

    What should I do?

Doesn't matter if you don't feel it. Oddly enough, you may just be one of the very few people that don't get it...

I get DOMS only after long breaks (at least 2-3 weeks of no lifting whatsoever). I train through it and by week 2 or 3 of regular training I don't get it any longer. In any case soreness isn't a good indicator of workout quality. You should be struggling to lift the last rep of your set (however many reps you are choosing to do). If this is happening, then you are using sufficient weight. If you are able to go on for more reps, you need to up the weight. You'll need to sign up with a gym or get some better equipment soon 80 lbs is not going to be enough.

you'd be better served watching this and more importantly, reading the comments below to get a good feel for who "that guy" is. squat rack is where people go to do squats with a safety to keep them from dying while doing it.
