Had a lifting competition last Saturday and got some solid PRs on everything. My squat sucks, save your breath and bite your tongue, 'cause I know it could be better lol.
Also, I'm NOT an Oly lifter and I did those lifts as a requirement (they were actually done before squat, bench, and deadlift). As you can see, I'm laughing during the reps because I know they're horrible. Again, save your comments.

You mean how does it feel to be within 55 pounds of my squat? Feels bad man lol.
I had the best bench at the competition, but I think the best squats were around 500, and best dead was around 575. If I weren't such a terrible Oly lifter, I would have had a shot at winning the competition lol. Still placed 2nd in my weight class, though. Was 211 a few minutes before the competition, but am around 206 in the morning. My training log:

Ashy has a lot of heart and he's worked his ass off to get where he is, so he gets my respect.
@ashy,
I used to post on the nation, so I've watched your journey, bootcamp included... I know your a goal oriented dude who knows where your going, but my advice is to stop going on that site. I've been out injured for ages until this year. I started lifting again in may. I got away from that site, I didn't realize until I did how much the politics and philosophy there effects you.
I was a level 4 customer there. I've since stopped using any supplements at all, focused solely on lifting and gained 3 inches on my arms and put over 100lbs on all my lifts. Seems like very little but considering I spent thousands on supps, was once <8% bf, lifted seriously bla bla bla... It wasn't like I didn't take lifting seriously.
So yeah my advice to you is to stop going, certainly don't waste money on supps you don't need.

Dude, please don't take offense when I say this, because I REALLY do appreciate the kind words . . . . but you have a 618 total based on your 1RM stats in your profile. You can't say the supplements don't work if you don't train hard enough to begin with to make progress better than a 618 total. Are you really able to say that their products don't do anything if you can't make anything close to better than beginner gains?
Again, I'm not trying to bash you, as I really don't like putting others down (ESPECIALLY over the internet when I don't know the other person). I'm just saying don't bash T-Nation and Biotest if you don't have proof that you can make better progress without their help. No, you don't NEED their products to make progress, but they sure as **** help.My training log:

My profile 1RM's are wrong not that it matters since they still suck lol 220 bench, 280 squat, 235 dead.
Obviously I haven't used ALL their supplements, but I used all of them other than Anaconda, Mag-10, I3G. They didn't seem to have much effect, surge recovery obviously had an efficient insuln spike as I remember having massive crashes half an hour after taking it. But after I stopped using them, progress didn't slow at all...
My previous post wasn't aimed completely at their supplement line and certainly not the coaches but the forum other than having good info, is full of guys trying to make themselves look smarter than other posters and backing it up by some stupid weight stat which means nothing... I really thought it didn't affect me at all until I honestly looked at my training and noticed how I was trying to do everything at once in the sense that I was constantly trying to make some 'super program' when I just needed to be focused on strength.
Generally I think the site has a bad atmosphere and does as much damage to lifters as it trys to do good.

no offense but how do you only have a 235 dead if you have a 280 squat? skeptical about the depth of that squat, its prob shallow if you can just barely hit over 2 plates on bench
but ashy i know youre gonna get defensive and i think i brought this up in your log a while ago but anaconda is a completely BS product. christian thibaudeau is 100% a broscientist and the routines he concocts are suitable for drugged trainnees. i am pretty surprised you have been able to progress so well on those types of routines, but (and dont take this the wrong way) i don't think your size is up to par with your strength. while your lifts have increased a ****load over a year or so, you are pretty much the same size. just something to think about, and i could also be wrong about you not gaining size but from what i can see in the vid, you look pretty much the same as you did before (no hate)
that said, i am quite jelly of your strength especially dat dere bench~Sh!tty Chest Crew~ CEO & Founder

Haha it's cool that you were good natured about the oly lifts anyway, especially that snatch.
One day imma get my bench above 300. Lol it makes me **** bricks thinking about that much weight right above my body though.
