just got my first android phone (samsung galaxy sII) and all I can say is that it's a piece a **** compared to my old iphone. Besides generally not enjoying the android OS, whats turning me off it the most is that the battery can hardly make it through half a day with only simple usage + the 4g speeds hardly anything spectacular. I'm returning it this weekend for sure for the 4s

It basically comes down to preference over the different OSs. If you want a more complicated OS that once you get the hang of has TONS of things you can do with it then go with Android. If you want a more streamlined, easier to use OS that's really easy to get the hang of but doesn't have quite the customability, then go with the iPhone.

It would also be good to note that iPhone does have more games made for it if that's important to you.

Worst comment out of everything on this thread, please do not listen to this guy. Samsung is known for horrible support and never releasing patches on a timely manner or sometimes not at all. HTC is at least reputable and has good support, take the EVO 4G for example. I was almost about to get the SGSII but have heard issues with the Sprint model and LOS. So i'm kind really holding out for something in Q1 of 2012. My EVO is running solid so far.

But its really grown on me. Love it.
Recently i got frustrated by the touch screen for texting but then i realized i can hit the mike button and say my paragraph long text accurately as fuark.

Its good shiat.
