    ROM on the V squat machine?

    I can barely break parallel on the V squat machine. Amidoingitrite? I also feel a bit of the load on my lower back.
    Also, hack squats bring a large pressure on my knees. Would switching to V squats suffice?

    If you have knee pain while doing the hack squats you may need to bring your feet out in front of you more and/or take a wider stance. If that isnt the issue id just stop doing it all together. Hard to make judgements though w/o seeing you do one or both of the exercises.

    Half of my foot is actually off the platform and hanging off the edge for hacks. I make it a goal to keep my heels on the platform and just heels.

    if it hurts to do squats in a machine then perhaps god is telling you to grab a barbell and do em that way

    have to set yourself up like a regular squat, i used to have this problem too, keep your feet a bit off the platform but a little less than shoulder width apart and make sure toes are pointing out. now i can go below parallel
