ITT people who try to reason with suit.
There is no reason that they should not be knowledgeable and educated about something they are protesting about. If you want to complain about something, you should have done your research. OBVIOUSLY it's expected that Schiff wins, mostly because a lot of what he says is just flat out correct, but there were only one or two people in that vid that appeared even remotely educated/knowledageable. I'm not sure how edited it was; Schiff doesn't seem like the kind of guy to repeatedly edit things out just to make his point.
That's like saying Perry debating Romney isn't really a fair debate, because Romney has done it before and is significantly smarter than Perry. That's Perry's problem IMO, not Romney's (protester's problem, not Schiff's).
EDIT: Also I should mention that there is no way Schiff pays 50% tax. Sounds like a flat out lie to me.

What kind of liberal are you? Here we have corporations helping out poor, impoverished countries by giving them jobs, and you are complaining? Sounds mighty conservative of you.
Corporations are legally required to maximize shareholder value. Shereholders also include, you, me, and anyone that has a retirement plan (401k, etc).
Feel free to send additional money in to aid the government if you feel others are not getting enough. Charitable contributions are tax deductible.
Something wrong with greed? I guarantee you would be greedy too if you were in a position to make money.

what needs to be coincidental about it? you are just mad that the example i found happened to include a republican. you would be absolutely fine if it was a democrat, it's not even relevant what party he belongs to. again, you are completely fixated on your partisan hackery that you can't even make any sort of argument.

Well, that's exactly the problem. These people think they know what's best when they are ignorant and uneducated. How can you protest when you have no clue about the reality of what you're protesting about? They have this idea that the rich don't pay tax and don't realize that if they are taxed even more they will simply stop hiring and working. Schiff is telling them the truth. True capitalism is the best way forward. The rich are the nations top taxpayers and top employers.

So all of the sudden China is an impoverished country? It's more important to help poor people in China but not in America? I don't even understand why you would support jobs being given in foreign countries when Americans are being laid off. Granted they don't live in poverty, why would an American company want to help out foreign employees instead of their own? Profit. They don't give two ****s about employees.
How many corporations go through tax loopholes to pay shareholders? Americans would love it if every company did that! But unfortunately only G.E. and similar powerhouse corporations have the people who can.
Would you rather see G.E. pay their shareholders this large sum of money or actually pay their fair share of the tax so the every day middle class American doesn't have to be cheated.

I wasn't mad, dude. I have a pet theory going on that Democrats are trying to co-opt the OWS to have their own 2010 elections(Tea Party). Hence, why Pelosi and Obama speak so kindly of the OWS, whilst calling the T-P nazis. Seems to fit.
I'd love for John crybaby Boehner to retire. No love-loss there, his spine is made of cotton candy.

What is a corporations fair share? Don't buy their products if you don't want them to be profitable.
Want to make money? Get a job and work hard. Can't get a job? Get some marketable skills or take some "dirty" jobs (you know, like manual labor - what most of OWS thinks is "beneath" them).

Sorry but your dad is lying to you. Highest income tax in Canada at that salary is 41.06%, and highest marginal rate is 50%. This is without any breaks whatsoever.

Do you have any engineers in your family? My dad may not be successful but every one of my relatives on my mom's side are engineers.
Out of the three who are still working in the engineering field, (civil, electrical and mechanical), two of them hate their job and use up all of their vacation time each year.
They'd both quit but they have to support families and the economy is **** in Michigan. If they were to quit, they'd probably be out of a job for a long, long time.

No, he is supporting the 99% and repeatedly explaining to them how all of this stuff actually works. The sad reality is that a lot of the 99% idiots are just repeating things they've read on the internet. Think about this logically. This guy doesn't sit on his ass on the internet all day. He actually knows what he is talking about because he does his research. He even tried to warn others about this happening, but the government did it, anyways. No matter how angry you are about not having as much money as this guy, the facts stand that nothing is physically stopping you from making that much money. Only excuses will keep you in the 99%.
The whole point to the discussion is that it should not be 99% and 1%. There should be an infinite number of classes which are based on how hard people choose to work. There should be equal opportunity. He is explaining why there is not, but these 99% morons are too busy dwelling to use their power of majority to make a difference. Also, a good amount of them think revolt is going to solve the problem. Brb Roman Empire. People have become even more stupid ever since the birth of entertainment media. This is proof.
The biggest point being over-looked: Just because he is in the 1% doesn't mean he thinks what happens to the 99% is fair.🤡 Honk-Pilled 🤡

"The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles"
"the bourgeois exploits the proletariat by "constant revolutionising of production, uninterrupted disturbance of all social conditions, everlasting uncertainty and agitation distinguish the bourgeois epoch from all earlier ones"
"the reason the bourgeois exist and exploit the proletariat with low wages is because of private property, "the accumulation of wealth in private hands, the formation and increase of capital", and that competition amongst the proletariat creates wage-labour, which rests entirely on the competition among the workers"
lol @ Schiff predicting this a few years ago. Big deal, so did Ron Paul and anyone who understands the scam that is going on. Marx actually understood the systematic problem, and interestingly enough, what he said back then, is what they are protesting now. 99% vs. 1%.
" the bourgeoisie constantly exploits the proletariat for its manual labour and cheap wages, ultimately to create profit for the bourgeois; the proletariat rise to power through revolution against the bourgeoisie such as riots or creation of unions."

The problem with this video is his argument works perhaps only in THEORY. Real life is quite different, there is corruption, cheating etc.
I bet if I went down there with seriously intense knowledge of communism I could make myself look awesome, the only valid argument people would make would be pointing out that it has failed in the past. Well guess what? In 50 years people will be pointing to our current iteration of capitalism like they do about communism.Normality is what weak people call living, I call it death. - Greg Plitt

Well I am heading out but the idea that his making $100 million is creating more jobs than if he had made $50 million and the remaining $50 million were distributed in some other way. Well the reality is exactly like he said, he is GREEDY. Corporations without regulations WILL ship jobs overseas, WILL minimize payroll here, WILL dump in our waters, WILL pollute our air, WILL take advantage of workers here etc. In theory people should stop buying from those companies, but in reality life isn't so cut and dry. Just look at any myriad of documentaries on corporations to get the idea, Gasland or The Corporation are a good way to start.
He is operating on the logical fallacy that everybody is just like him, greedy. Some people just want enough money to get by and enjoy life with a reasonable amount of effort. We used to be able to do that, now jobs that were once well paying with benefits and pensions are being stripped and those at the top are getting richer. The only real solution is to change our culture, but sadly I doubt that will happen anytime soon....Normality is what weak people call living, I call it death. - Greg Plitt
