Question Slow Pushups vs Fast Pushups

I was wondering which would be better to do to experience great gains in strength and power.

don't concentrate so much on speed, concentrate on how you're feeling them. Be explosive, try clap pushups for example? that will help with power I believe, but being fast builds up too much momentum. Don't go too slow or you're working more on endurance.
This is what I've been told by martial art coaches anyways.

Fast push-ups>slow push ups. Faster movements recruit type 2b muscle fibers which are the ones you want to grow if you plan to perform athletically. Slow would only target type I and 2a maybe.

You should do both evenly but if I had to choose only one I'd go with fast push-ups for as long as possible.

I like to do fast push ups but using a medicine ball, rotating hands on the way up each rep. Killer chest burn!

I just do weighted push ups, its more like benching in that sense.

I've heard that slow builds more mass and fast builds more endurance. Not sure about it though.
