Hello! My name is Kyle Harris. I used to be an avid forum contributor for years on other forums and have had an account year for a long time, but was not very active. Due to my job and being a varsity baseball coach as well as bodybuilding, parenthood, prep coaching, and giving private baseball lessons I have been pretty hit or miss on the forums for a few years. I've started some journals on some different boards at the request of some friends but have done poorly keeping up with them. Hoping I can create a body space page and journal here and chronicle my journey to NPC Team Universe this summer. I have qualified multiple times but have never taken the leap to compete in Team U and I'm diving in this year. A bit nervous, but hey, I know I'll bring my best package ever and at least look the part of a bodybuilder.
Hoping I can be of some help to some folks in anyway possible and motivate them, as well as learn and be motivating by all of you!
Hopefully I can get back on later today and post some of my training and competitive history as well as my workouts and diet for the week!
Thank you.
Kyle

I appreciate the kind words Protege. That was one of my better looks. A few weeks after that I brought my best condition ever. Lost a bit of fullness, but it was worth the improved conditioning. Have to find the right combination of carbs, water, and sodium to stay dry and ripped yet fill out properly. The everlasting holy grail of stage presentation.

Life with kids is amazing, but it can be busy and sure does drain you. LOL. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I had some AMAZING workouts! Nice weights and great tempos/speed through the workouts. Wanted to keep rolling into Monday, but it's a scheduled day off by design because my eldest (6 years old) has gymnastics practice and I always wnat to make sure I am at every one of her events.
The weekend was crazy busy and I didn't get a chance to log my workouts or nutrition, however I was up extra early to workout Saturday and Sunday. Just a synopsis of what went down this weekend:
Friday Trained from 4-6 then had dinner with the family and hit the grocer store. After unloading groceries I prepped food for Saturday.
Saturday was up around 545 to eat and pack for the day. Hit the gym about 645 for legs. Got home about 830 just in time to eat shower and grab my cooler for a 2 hour trip to Columbus. Hit up Whole Foods and Trader Joe then took the girls to the American Heart Association Fit Kids Expo for a little over an hour before watching Ohio State Gymnastics. Dinner with the fam and got home about 10 PM. Changed all the clocks and hit the sack.
Sunday, up at 6 to eat and pack. Hit the gym about 7, then off to my father's baseball school for 5 hours of private batting/pitching lessons. Got home, ate, and took my daughters to a 4H meeting before whisking them away to a local college for my daughters piano recital where she received 3 superiors and an excellent! Got home, had to finish some plans for some clients and do lesson plans then prep for Monday and read books to the girls.
Monday I did cardio picked up the girls after work cooked supper then took the 6 year old to gymnastics.

Still holding steady at 169. Not a bad thing, but frustrating to see no drop in weight. I take solace in the fact that my conditioning is improving and that holding at 169 is probably a GOOD thing.
Banged out 25 minutes of cardio this morning

Counting all incidentals yes. I've always done well and felt good with a high protein diet. I have always loved eating chicken, beef, fish, eggs, etc... Don't get me wrong, I love carb foods too, but meats and fats work very well for me. Just gotta keep the nut butter consumption under control. LOL.

IK9, I know it's MONTH's late and after the show, lol, but it was 6 oz raw weight. I usually cook 5 pounds at a time. I weigh all the meat raw, then re-weigh it cooked and just mathematically figure out what the weight is cooked, proportionally to the raw weight so I don't have to cook 6 oz at a time. With chicken it almost always comes out that 6 oz raw = 5 oz cooked. Beef and turkey seem to vary more.
