I am 6'2 and 253 pounds. If I had to guess, I'm at 20-22% bf. want to get to 10%.

No rusk, it's really not, while some muscle loss is possible, if you maintain a caloric deficit and make sure you have proper nutrition you can easily lose body fat.
There are many licensed nutritionists that would be a much better use of money.

I'm not bashing I'm using logic, you said that you starved yourself for several months and ran a ton, then lifted heavy while trying to eat good.
You have no professional education in terms of nutrition farther than what you have read off line.
To lose weight all you have to do is maintain a caloric deficit, it is that simple, the only way I can think of to "make it more effective" or to "smooth it out" is to take something containing yohimbine which simply diverts lipid receptors from type 1 to type 2 areas thus causing weight to come off more evenly, there is nothing that is going to make it "easier" besides perhaps taking an appetite suppressant.
So, to answer your question, if I was it's still smarter than paying someone that has no formal education in the area, there are no real ways to make it significantly more effective than lowering your caloric deficit, and quite obviously I realise every little thing counts, that's why I'm recommending people see a licensed professional for nutrition help rather than you, an unlicensed non-professional.

I really can't be bothered to reply to you properly, my practical knowledge and experience is enough for anyone to achieve what they want. I have enough nutrition knowledge to know what I'm talking about. Also there is simply no need to go on the PHD/w/e education nutrition level unless you are competing, over complication usually leads to failure, keep it simple and easy to follow.
