Some great workouts Meg. Uber impressed
Are you still running too? I ran thru both pregnancies (got some weird looks running w/ one baby in the stroller and one in 'the oven' - our kids are only 15 mos apart) and think keeping active is the reason for my relatively quick return to fitness related endeavours after. I can just picture you delivering and then scooting out to knock out a few supersets
So happy for you! Can't wait to read along and hear news of the arrival of your little one. When is your actual due date? We have a January baby too

On Saturday I had dinner with my coach and the lovely Ms. Sheppard. Kim is taking a break from competing and is starting to get into judging. So talking to the both of them on their experiences thus far with judging was interesting.
They said that the first thing that judges are looking for when you walk out on stage is .... POTENTIAL. You may not have the most muscle or the best conditioning, but they're looking at your frame and potential proportions. Then they look at size and conditioning. So it all makes since when you wonder why some girls place higher than others when they aren't quite on the mark but still somehow do so well.Coming out of "retirement"...Meg is training for a Figure competition...again!!!

Very very interdasting. I have seen and heard the same thing. I have seen a girl with less mass take the show because of having a better frame. In fact, this girl looked somewhat unimpressive just standing there next to other competitors… but when she got on stage and posed… her silhouette was lovely.

It's been a mental struggle to be in the gym these past few weeks...but now that I'm looking more obvious I'm getting over the "people are going to think I just have a beer gut" look.
And now we're starting shutdown for another turnaround so I'm working 4A to 4P but at least I have the energy still to hit the gym at 4 before the crowd gets there. Now I'm just struggling to get to bed at a decent time so I'm not draggin' azz in the AM.Coming out of "retirement"...Meg is training for a Figure competition...again!!!

So I don't know what my deal is, but I'm not really feeling this routine in terms of development. Maybe I'm not lifting heavy enough, but my shoulders don't seem to respond to this low of a volume. I hate to not give it a fair try but I just haven't gotten a good pump lately...

When I did this program I ended up throwing in a couple of sets of 3 or 4x12 -15 of something on pretty much every day of it unless I was super pressed for time. Otherwise I felt like I was leaving something on the table regardless of how heavy (for me anyway) I lifted that day.

Finally getting over being sick for 1+ week. Was coughing so hard last weekend that I had to bolt out of bed to the bathroom because I was about to puke not fun. And just today my sinuses have finally cleared so I can breath again
In other news, I had failed my 1 hour glucose test last week so had to go back for the 3 hour test yesterday, which I passed as my results were "lovely"... But all a little nerve wrecking. These tests got my wondering about their validity. I for one know that I never eat 1/2 cup of sugar in a single sitting without consuming any other macronutrient...but anywho...just glad to be past it all.

Did back on Monday and can't really recall what all I did...
Hopefully I'll get my azz back in gear and get back into the swing of things...I mean, I'm lifting only 3 days a week when I used to be in the gym 5 days a week. But then again when I feel fat and slobbish my self confidence takes a dip and motivation to put on form fitting clothes and move around the gym goes bye-bye....

I've been a bit MIA (still lurking though)...so here's an update...
My last picture with a belly @ 39 weeks. I ended up gaining 30 pounds this pregnancy, more than I wanted. Although, I was right at the 25# mark up until the last week. I started at my upper end of 160# so 190# by DD.
Got put on bed rest my last week due to elevated blood pressure but little man managed to break my water three days before they would potentially need to induce me . What an experience feeling like you're continually peeing yourself, having to lay down in your own soaking mess...but totally worth it.
After a pretty quick and smooth labor, the 11 hours flew by, and an hour of pushing with a slightly scary finish...my little man, Connor James, was here by 9:06AM on January 4th.
Looks like it'll be a while before in back in the gym with all my postpartum issues...But for now, it's time to lay low and enjoy finally being a mommy.Coming out of "retirement"...Meg is training for a Figure competition...again!!!
