Did you get to see any of the Arnold?
Leg today,
Normal warmup, foamroll
front squats pyramid sets/reps start with 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2
Bulgarian split squat 3sets8reps
leg ext drop set
leg press machine with stack drop 2sets for ACL leg
Single leg SLDL 4sets 6reps
leg curl 2drop sets of 6reps
calves on leg press so knees are straight 5sets 20reps-these will end up in a different spot after the tri.

You are transforming so much about you at the moment, I think you maay need a vacation to chill after the show and think about all you went through and also the give your body a break. i'm going to track down a massage table to rent while I'm down there and work on you and Kim after the show. Been a massage therapist since 2001

I got to see some of the call outs for ladies BB and watched the fitness routines up through Adela, but then I had to hit the lake.
Haven't looked too much through pics of the Figure comp, but Erin looked great through the mid section but dayum, Nicole's quad and ham sweep is awesome. That's what I want!
The trainer that resparked my interest in trying to compete is doing a comp down in Galveston this month. Going to try to make it to that if it doesn't conflict too much with my training.
In for excruciating massage!Coming out of "retirement"...Meg is training for a Figure competition...again!!!

Pheeww...that will be a process in itself. I may have a contact for a suit maker in town, definitely need to get that ball rolling. I'll likely get the suit made 2 months out. But between now and then I need to decide on what type of material, color, and how much bedazzle. I have an idea about color but need a pro's opinion on whether it works with my skin tone or not. And I do know how much flair I want, will need to gather some examples.

**New to the schedule from now until the race on 4/1 is an additional 15 mile bike ride on Thursdays. I’ve been terrible about missing my two weekday swims and Thursday short run and now we’re adding another workout. Talk about a time suck. 2 games of softball Can’t say that this is much of a workout, but it does keep me up until about 11 PM if we have late games, which is pretty much always the case.
Right now I’m picking up softball on a Monday league, playing with my regular Tuesday team, and flag football on Wednesdays. Luckily there is no flag this Wednesday so I’ll get to rest the knee and finally get around to cleaning house and doing my dreaded taxes. I need a break from my weekend and I’m finally getting it, somewhat.Coming out of "retirement"...Meg is training for a Figure competition...again!!!

Holy crap, it seems like I was just in here seeing your weight at 158ish and now you're down to 143 - Nice job lady! But look at all that Ironman training. I could try to convince myself I love cardio that much and I might believe it for a few days
I started wondering about this too, how do you know what color is good? And you need to get a suit that crosses in the back too, correct? I was looking online and suits go from $200 to $500+. Are their actually people you can go to talk to about this? I need a gay friend apparently to help me decide these things. Post up some things you're looking at maybe, I would like to see how you go about selecting a suit and shoes KimPiscluelsss.jpg-KimP

If you're talking about the 158 a few weeks ago, that was a typo, it was supposed to be 148. When I started back in October I was about 160. I did lose a lot of that weight before December hit and I've kind of been loafing in the 145 to 150 range since.
Actually, the training for the Ironman is quite fun and beats the hell out of the Stairway to Hell or walking on the treadmill. It just sucks up so much of my time though.
As for the suit, I'll probably buy a couple of swatches of material and take it to the suit maker to get opinions and direction. I'll surf the interwebz later tonight and throw up some examples of what I had in mind. I know what I want but it may not work for me. All I know is that greens and blues generally work the best and that pinks and orange shades will wash you out, especially under those harsh lights.
I wish I could say that my progress/ability/shape is all in my genes but I honestly do not believe that. If you'd take one look at my family you would never know that I could possibly be related to any one of them. I'm talking overweight to obese. I think it all has to do with me growing up playing sports since I was 5, and just being active in general. I think we can all overcome any dispositions that we believe we were given so just keep plugging away and you'll eventually banish that "muffin top" and once it's gone it'll stay gone.
Energy levels are quite good. Though I haven't been terribly consistent with the lower cals. I had two really high days this weekend that kind of refueled me so that's probably swaying my opinion of 1500 to 1600.
Thanks P! I've got some size 8 Lulu speed shorts if you want 'em, but I'm pretty sure you're like a size 4 so these are no bueno.
And the next time I venture into Lulu I'm going to try on the uber booty shorts
AND....I got a HUGE compliment today from my biggest [brutally honest] critic in the gym, Mr. Functional T. I was on the leg press doing calve press and he walks over so I think "how am I possibly doing calve press wrong?" And all he wanted to say was that my development (especially my back) was exceptional and to not let up. And he wants me to keep him posted on the show as he may take the venture to come and watch me compete..... **major blush**Coming out of "retirement"...Meg is training for a Figure competition...again!!!

Too funny. It's sad, but it seems like all I have time for is to make sandwiches. If I play ball on Monday through Wednesday I usually don't get home until around 11 PM and I definitely don't feel like cooking chicken at midnight but I usually will grab a sandwich on the way out to the ball fields. Even though I didn't play ball tonight, I still didn't get home from tri training until 8:30. And now I'm tired and ready for bed.

Hey There!! I just took a look at your BodySpace and WOW!!! what awesome progress! You look fantastic! When is your show?
My friend Competition Christy bought a used suit from a former figure competitor. It's beautiful. I don't know what your skin tone is, but her suit is this fabulous teal with a lot of bling on it. Boy, those things are T E E N Y T I N Y!Caring about what people think of you is useless. Most people don't even know what they think of themselves.

Thanks Swooshie. It's definitely all the positive support and encouragement from all you awesome ladies and Zilla and anyone else that's lurking through here that has shown me I can push even further. When I first started I was just hoping to get back to where I was before graduating college, and I have far exceeded that goal and am only going further.
This was my leanest ever.....Probably somewhere around 135 to 140 pounds in these pictures...

Maybe...
Although, I always said if me and the ex ever split I was going to get me a hot ball player. That way we could go to tournaments and play together and I wouldn't have to worry about getting the "you're never home because you're always playing ball" rant. Think I need to start dating guys closer to my own age, dunno what attracts me to these older guys...oh well. It's nice that the biggest critic at the gym said something nice to you. I know that feeling when you see people walking over and you just cringe because they never have anything positive to say.
I saw one girl at a competition who had black hair and a dark tan and she wore a red suit that looked absolutely fabulous - she was doing bikini though, not sure if that makes a difference or not...
Funny you mention this! I was looking at this one the other day and going "OOOOOOHHHHHH! ME LIKEY!"

I actually think I would wear that to the pool....
