Question What does the section think of the WBFF?

Paul Dillet's federation is on the rise. Would you like to see it compete with the IFBB in a few years as far as their pro ranks?

I think some kind of competition would be great for the IFBB. Similar to what the WBF did for them in the 90s. It would force them to increase prize money and fix some of the other problems that seem to just be tossed under the mat.

But I don't think the WBFF could do that.

I think there is still too much prestige with the IFBB. But im all for the free market. If a few big name pros went to the WBFF then it would switch things up big time.

could just find that in 2009 they gave away $20,000 plus other prizes, that was their first pro year. But they have increased hugely since then.

They have alot of mainstream sponsors on board. Like MusclePharm/VPX. Also found something about Budweiser sponsoring them

Is it purely a Canadian federation?

No, its just headquartered in Canada because that is where Dillet lives. Apparently this year they had more americans then canadians competing.

Its a good organization, basically a place where somebody who would have a been a mid to low level pro can come and still have a winning or competitive career. They are still growing but for the most part have been focusing on the womens divions

from what I have seen from ******** and people who compete in the WBFF

it is as scummy as it gets, the dude who won last year won again according to the judges scoring this year but paul dillet wanted another guy to be the champion so he won instead

the athletes have been giving back their pro cards and leaving the organization as well as one of the female fitness girls Ingrid Romero came out and said how much Dillet lied to her and tried to hurt her reputation after going back to the IFBB

    sounds pretty shady

The bottom line is that no top pro will go there to compete (at least no top IFBB pro, there are still pro NABBA and/or WABBA federations out there aren't there?). If you go there you are basically commiting career suicide as far as BB goes. The weiders have a (or the IFBB since I don't think joe really does anything anymore) huge say in what will and will not go into a magazine. If you are not in the mags then people lose interest in you pretty quick. why would muscletech want to feature a guy who no one knows? Although they did do that in the beginning I doubt they are gonna say "man....we gotta get that WBFF pro no one knows about so we'll dump this well known IFBB athelete.

back when the PDI had thier first show in America Steve W went there (as a representative) of the IFBB and yelled at the competitors, insulting them and so forth......incredible. He's an f'n judge and an "ambasador" of the sport. You didn't read anything about that in any magizine. Wonder why?

Good for Paul thinking he can do something but in reality no one will know anything about this in 5 years and anyone associated with it will be buried just like the WBF guys were when they came back to the IFBB.

Nothing wrong with it. The IFBB is to corrupt and Jim Manions a ***.
But seriously the IFBB is extremely corrupt and made very stupid decisions in the past that they cant make up for.

The word on Rx is that the WBFF athletes aren't happy with how Paul Dillett is running things.

    Ingrid Romero:

As of September 27th, 2011 I will be relinquishing my WBFF Pro Status.

After winning the Arnold Classic, I was approached by Paul Dillett the CEO of the WBFF. In his attempt to recruit me, he promised me a six figure contract with a supplement company, the cover of several prominent magazines, a part in a reality TV show with top celebrities and much more. At the time I had only been in this industry for 6 months and I was extremely naïve. Being offered all the promises, I thought that this was the answer to all my financial struggles, but little did I know I was making the biggest mistake of my young career. I soon realized that Paul Dillett and the WBFF sell dreams to athletes to get them to join his organization, but once they join they do not follow up on ANY of their promises. I wanted to go public with this to let other athletes know who are in the same position I was, that the WBFF is not the answer. Paul Dilett misleads people and takes advantage of naïve people who do not know the industry.

I want to make a formal apology to the NPC for my mistake and to anyone who may have been offended by my actions. I also would like to give a sincere thank you to the NPC for giving me the opportunity to get my career launched as a bikini athlete. I am truly sorry for my poor decision making and I can only hope to eventually being accepted back into this organization.
We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

    Are you sure about this?

The issue is that VPX sponsors the WBFF so John Romano and Lee Priest will do all they can to slander the IFBB and praise the WBFF, while the other sites that are IFBB-oriented will do the reverse. Kinda hard to know what's true and what isn't.

haha yeah i know what you mean. But still. Why didnt she get Paul to write a contract. Either a) she is lying or b) she is retarded. And that is just the bottom line no matter who you believe.

I would have said "Right Paul, here my lawyer has drawn up this contract, you will get me the $150,000 contract and the photoshoots and front cover. Once we have that, then I will come and join your federation because it is more benifical to me." This is basic, basic stuff, but i guess she is a bikini girl so what can you expect really.

I mean, it would be like an NFL or football/soccer player just leaving their old team because they got "promised" another contract. Hell no, they first put it all down in writing, cross the t's and dot the i's, then announce the move.

You, and everyone else who stated such things are sheep.

If you'd have been paying attention, you would have known that it isn't scrummy, in fact, they invest far more money into their shows than the IFBB.

Secondly, you would have also known that the guy who came first last year was butthurt that he lost and the JUDGES gave him 2nd. Paul Dillet went on VPX Shotgun Big Show and stated that his 2nd place was a gift, and if it was up to him he would have came 3rd.

Thirdly, all 3 of the people who turned back their Pro Cards, yes, 3 you ****ing sheep not 'all the athletes', were either butthurt about their placing or like Ingrid Romero, lied about these so called 'Promises' Paul Dillet had SUPPOSEDLY told her. Apparently all three have 'PROOF' of these injustices but have still refrained from showing anyone.

Next time do your own research instead of believing everything you hear from the corrupt IFBB.

EDIT: If either of these people were telling the truth, their so called 'proof' would have been released already. Its been a month now of nothing but void accusations.

    That you, Paul?

haha just kidding, valid points. I think if anyone can tackle the IFBB it's Paul. But the IFBB must have some pretty big pockets because somehow they manage to function as a Non-profit, while having their own companies (weider etc) running everything. And they force competitors to only compete in their league or risk being banned, which is encouraging a monopoly in the industry. I mean imagine if ******** said "right, everyone who made a Google + account is now banned from ******** forever." Im pretty sure its against the Human Rights to not offer services avaliable to the public based on the grounds of association. Although im not a lawyer or anything and may have interpreted it incorrectly.

    I lol'd.

    You're 100% correct.

From what I've heard it is illegal but the problem is no one within the organisation is willing to stand up to them. The exact same thing happened with the AAU, where they said anyone who competes outside of the organisation will be banned. So the Weider brothers and the athletes banded together against the AAU, refused to compete and took legal action, in which the courts ruled in their favour. Hence how the IFBB was born.

Whenever someone says, "I have proof but I'm not going to show anybody" my BS alarm goes off. If you've got the proof...and you make a big fuss about having it...then SHOW IT! Erase all doubt. Take down the the people that you're out to get. Finish them off.

Otherwise, kindly stfu and move along.

haha exactly, and not surprisingly its the 3 that got bad placings who leave. Coz they thought it would be like the IFBB where if your were well sponsored you will always place high.

What I find funny is 3 athletes leave and all of a sudden it's a bad organization, meanwhile hundreds of athletes have left the npc and no one says anything.

Just what i was thinking to.

And FYI i had the pleasure of meeting Richard Levy at Kore fit living the not long ago, good friends with Paul and got talking with him. Really cool guy. The reason why Rob didnt win apparently is because his tan looked like crap! I was amazed.. but Rob should have done muscle model he was to big for the fitness model category.

Im going to start competing next year WBFF is where im going to go because that's where i see the most opportunities.

listen to the vpx shotgun big show. might not be the best source out there but it entertaining and they do present dillet's side of the story rather than just what the ifbb reports.

    LOL. u mad?

I could care less about these organizations, I have added some people who have mirable physiques on ******** and for a while all this crap was popping up on my feed.

Paul Dillet, once a mass warrior, now a keyboard warrior with a beer gut.

the dudes are way too small to rival the IFBB in the men's circle. The women's however, is stackd. One of my friends is a WBFF fitness pro and she tells me how crazy deep the field is.

Great for Paul Dillet though and so what if he used his "politics" to influence the placings. If it's what's best for the sport and best for the public to see, then that's what you gotta consider.

Also Dillet stated he's not looking to compete, but provide an alternative. In the same radio show he mentioned how one of his athletes switched over to NPC and he felt if the guy felt he had a better chance there, than go for it.
