Instinct says yes, they are proteins, 10g=40cal. I never see the calories listed on the label though so maybe I'm off base in thinking that?

i dont see any calorie numbers on any of my bcaa products...
even if nutrition numbers were printed on bcaa products, i doubt the number would hold that much weight in my daily caloric intake.
40 calories is probably around 1-2% of most our daily calorie requirements.... not much by my standards but calories nonetheless.
