9 weeks out and i can't go to the gym

So i have 9 weeks till my first comp and dumb me went skiing this weekend, though i had an awesome time, OF COURSE.........i hurt myself.

-MY BACK IS ALL MESSED UP i practically did a cart wheel down the mountain, it happened like 5 days ago and it hurts to walk, sit, lay.. you name it i ache.... and i sit all day at work so it makes it harder...

i go see my doctor on Saturday but since last Thursday i havent been to the gym... Also i got kinda sick this weekend, i actually stuck very close to my cutting diet while away on vacation, i made all my food ahead of time and preplanned all my meals. my stomach was a mess all weekend and i think i am stressing myself out about not going to the gym

i am having a hard time..

i normally go to the gym 5-6 days a week to lift and 3-4 days of cardio, i feel like my stomach is all wack and i feel bloated... is this because im not working out to burn off.. daily calorie intake is about 1400calories my protein is about 175-200, carbs 80 and fats are low...

CAN ANYONE MAKE ANY RECCOMENDATIONS.... I AM STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WORKS WITH MY BODY...

I def need to lose some fat and here is another problem, my cutting diet that i have been on has been working and i started dropping weight and fat in 2 weeks but if i have a cheat meal i am sick to my stomach... i plan on not having any cheats 4 weeks out but every once in a while i need pasta or bread....

Suggestions... i am just stressed and need some guidance...

DO YOU THINK I WILL BE ABLE TO COMPETE?

Well first of all, keep in mind that they have more than one competition out there! It's awesome to stick to your goals, but not at the expense of your health. Wait for your doctor's advice and LISTEN to it. It'll be worse in the long run if you hurt yourself even more or prevent yourself from ever competing. You can always do a later competition. Also, stick to your diet, as that will help you lose body fat even while you're unable to exercise. What do you mean your stomach feels out of whack? You may have a food allergy to lactose or sensitivity to artificial sweeteners, which are found in many protein bars, shakes, and anything 'sugar-free.' They mess with me, too, and can cause bloating. Or, if your tummy is out of whack after cardio, that's normal too, and it happens to me after I run (or sometimes while I'm running, bleh). It's really inconvenient and uncomfortable! You can't really rid yourself of it, but by staying hydrated and making sure you eat your fiber you should keep things in working order. Try taking some lactaid with your dairy and avoiding a lot of fat around your workouts. This is definitely a stressful time, but it's important to put your overall health first. Take your time preparing, don't lose the weight too fast, and listen to your doctor. I hope you feel better!!!

balance

Focus on the big picture here. Your body has given you 3 messages just in this past week that something is out of balance, first an injury then an illness then physical challenges with your program. You may want to consider this as a sign to sit back and take a clear look at your picture. There are litterally hundreds of shows every year for you to choose from, whatever show you have your heart set on, I assure you there will be another one very soon. Focus on your goal and be willing to modify the journey in getting there, don't get so caught up in these little details. Many girls look at themselves at 12 weeks out and compare themselves to the girls onstage, this would make anyone crazy. Focus on progress. If you are continuing to progress you can see how that is working for you, if you are not progressing something needs to change. Take a step back. If you REALLY have your heart set on competing, you will compete, it is only a matter of when, be more flexible in your approach and things will smooth out for you. Be willing to go with the flow, even with the flow is more like ebb. That is the way you hae balance.

Hope that helps.

Nancy
