    New Stack

    Hey guys,

I have not been supplementing for a little while but want to get back on some supps how that it is March. Anyway, here's what I've got:

    Morning: ON whey protein
    45-30 minutes before workout: M-Stak
15 minutes before workout: BSN N.O.-Xplode and Creatine
    Post-workout: OH whey protein
    Bedtime: ZMA

Thoughts? Part of this is that I have cut out alcohol completely, so I want to build muscle and really take advantage of this time when my body will be performing optimally. Anything I am missing or something that seems superfluous?

    Thanks!

Switch out the Morning dose of protein for a whole food breakfast and I think you'll do fine. Loved N.O-Explode back in the day. Whole foods post workout would be better but a shake has it's benefits post workout as well. ZMA is great to use as a sleep aid. Good job on cutting out the alcohol.

Consider adding a Multi below are some good options.

    FitMen Multi by Formutech
    CL Orange Triad

Also I would add in some fish oil as well.

Add in a multi and fish oil. Maybe look more into whole foods for breakfast. M-stak isn't necessary but won't hurt either if you have the money to spend on it. Once you cover the essentials(multi, fish oil, creatine, protein powder) then I usually look at a preworkout and BCAA. Fat burner if cutting. But if you're just starting out, stick with the basics.
Progressive overload + progressive eating = gains. Simple as that!

First congrats with cutting out alcohol! Supplements can have some benefit but don't lose sight of the most important thing which is diet and training. You pretty much have the basics covered and as mentioned you can add a fish oil.

I think that looks great. You could throw in an amino acid to your stack and maybe some casein protein to take with your ZMA before bed.

Thanks for all the feedback, guys! I do take a fish oil and totally forgot to add that in.

Forgive my ignorance, but when would I take the amino acid and do you have a product you would recommend? And I have casein but I haven't been using it as much. I will try adding that back into my supp routine.

Your plan seems fine to me. I would add in a multivitamin as well though.

Hey man nothing wrong with the protein in the AM. I don't know what your meal schedule looks like but I'd say to throw M-Stak into the earlier part of the day like you're already doing. The creatine & pre are good before lifting so that's in order.
As others stated the only thing I'd add in would be a multi or fish oil. True Grit just joined the multi crew recently, so look into it.
Good luck with your goals. 👍

    Hey guys,

I had to put in an order for some new supps as I was going to run out within the month. Avoiding GNC, here's what I have:

    ON Gold Standard 100% Whey
    ON Gold Standard 100% Casein
    ON Micronized Creatine Powder
    BSN N.O.-Xplode
    JYM Omega (fish oil)
    JYM ZMA
    Animal M-Stak
    Animal Pak

These were highly rated, which is why I got them. If anyone has input on different/better brands to try, I will give those a shot next time around.

Can't always base your purchase off of reviews. No need for 2 types of protein. You can keep the Whey and focus on your daily overall protein intake. I'd also swap out the preworkout for a different option

Hey man, thanks for the advice! Some guys on here suggest the casein and others say there is no point. I figured I'd try it for my shake before bed and see what happens. As for the pre-workout, this one is not my favorite. I got it because it was on sale. I've used a bunch of different products - so far Volt has been my favorite. Any others I should try?

Id say depending on your diet, no need for a multi at all, if you it a vast plethora of foods then your most likely getting your micro nutrient needs.

This stack looks solid, IMO. Only thing I'd add would be fish oil
