Yes, but don't go below the 4 rep range, or else your muscle mass gains will be conpromised, and you'll be getting mostly strength gains.

I can't really determine whether you're "ok" or not without you posting your routine and diet. But, it doesn't matter how much you lift. If you are going to failure on each set, using perfect form, and resting appropriately, you're on your way.
