less reps + more weight = more muscle mass?

Is it true that using more weight and less reps will increase muscle mass faster

Yes, but don't go below the 4 rep range, or else your muscle mass gains will be conpromised, and you'll be getting mostly strength gains.

I can't really determine whether you're "ok" or not without you posting your routine and diet. But, it doesn't matter how much you lift. If you are going to failure on each set, using perfect form, and resting appropriately, you're on your way.

Depends on each individual. Some people respond best to high reps, some low, etc etc. Experiment and see what works best for you.

Personally, for me it's 4-6 reps. If it works best for you, low reps will put on muscle faster.

As long as I get 4 reps with good form, I don't even worry about it. Good luck bro!
