Linux mint, Debian, ubuntu, etc. What OS that are better than MS that are free.
I've seen a lot of people tell me to use ubuntu; however instead of google i'd rather ask the misc.

I always liked Fedora OP. Very easy to learn and super aesthetic.

Ubuntu is the most popular linux distro as far as I am aware of - it also has an awesome support group at Ubuntuforums that can help you out if you're having troubles with something. I still prefer windows for multimedia and mac for coding but when I need to get into really low level stuff (like reading the bluetooth stack for research etc) I boot up Ubuntu.

Ubuntu ftw.
I dual boot windows 7 and ubuntu, only because I have to use excel for my finance classes and LibreOffice just isn't the same.
But ubuntu for everything else. Brb, no more viruses.
Also, if you ever have any problems at all you can ask the ubuntu forums people and get a ton of great replies.
Have researched other distros of linux, but ubuntu seems to be the best for someone like me. It's also super easy to install, I can install it in about 10 minutes.

Ive always liked "Aptosid" linux. It runs off debian sid. Its a rolling release, so once you install it, it will always be up to date. Unlike Ubuntu and fedora, when they release the new version, you need to do a clean install. (Yes i know you can upgrade, but **** almost always breaks when you try).
