Nice specs, mine are similar but I have a 2500k, a 6950 2GB and a 64GB SSD. Any particular reason for the 2600k? The 2500k performs exactly the same in games.

It would be probably $2000 if I took all the extras off, also everyone saying "my $1000 will do the same" gtfo, I wanna play Battlefield 4 on ultra without upgrading, however you wont... I'm calling up tomorrow and getting the ram changed to 16 gigs...

i consider myself a pretty computer savvy guy and am looking to build my own gaming PC but this is just crazy.
if i wanted to run bf3 in ultra i'm looking at a minimum of a $1500 build?

Since you apparently can't do math, I'll do it for you. Without the keyboard, monitor, camera, etc. it still costs 2400. I could EASILY build an 8 gig RAM, full tower case, i7 2600k, GTX 580 rig for ~1800, 2000 if you want an SSD. If I were trying to buy things cheap, buying lesser brands (like you have), and just generally trying to save money, I could do it for 1600-1750 (with no SSD).

Depends on your resolution. If you're over 1080p on a HYOOGE monitor then 1500+ sounds about right (not including monitor). 1080p or less though I'm sure you can build a proper computer for 1500 max, probably more like 1200 depending on how many corners you cut (read: not paying for windows) and old parts you recycle.

I don't think you guys have noticed on the invoice it says "QLD' ie. in AUSTRALIA! Course its overpriced! Everything is jacked up over here! Buying from the US is cheaper and all, but when something goes wrong with a component, you're pretty much ****ed, even with a warranty (Shipping costs etc). Sometimes its worth just paying the extra for a local warranty.

I've got a 24.5 inch monitor and I'd run 1080p more than likely. Where would be a good place to start doing research on what would be a good build?
