At one restaurant I bartender at I had to take to go orders. I had to order the food, leave the bar, pack it up and them ring it up..That took me away from my customers that were actually paying me....

so yea I was pissed if you didn't tip..


I didn't create the tip system and dont necessarily agree with it but I did live on the money...A waiter doesnt deserve to work his ass off for you and then PAY for the privilege of doing the work (taxes)

I'll throw a dollar down for carryout if it's really hectic and the people are getting a lot of **** from idiot customers. And I usually toss one down for subway, since it just seems like it's a more annoying job than most other carryout places.

But the server had to take 60 seconds out of their busy day to place the food in a bag and drop it off at the take-out register. That's time taken away from their tables, so they deserve a tip.

If you work in a bar you know what the weeds are...So yeah I was stressing if a $80 check became a $40 check because I was running around bagging up food for some non tipping fat ass...That's how I paid my bills...
