OHP is awesome. Getting 135 on that is so classic. YOu feel like an old-timey strongman lifting the full BB like that. At least I do.

Deads
285 x 3
325 x 3
370 x 10
Some of that there dirty ass garage lifting. 370x10 was better than I expected, but not great. I was actually too gassed to finish my sets of front squats. Everything else went pretty well. I had a few sample packs of some supps, so I'm going to give my first ever supp reviews even though I'm not a supp guy.

I haven’t been posting many videos or anything, but I just got done with the deadlift platform and moving most of my stuff to the new area.
I ended up just doing a required reps type workout so I can switch my squat and deadlift days for better recovery. Deads are making me insanely sore for some reason. Scale finally moved, so 196 right now. Not so worried about the actual pounds, but I just want to lean out.

^^^ It'll get the job done!
Squats today. Worked up to 275x7. Would have preferred 10 reps but these workouts are down to willpower. Can't wait to eat more. I'll cut down on some assistance volume and may actually do the deloads. I never really deload, so I'll try it a few times and see what I see. I wouldn't bother on a bulk.
Not sure if the vid is working...on iPod and can't tell.

First video is from bench yesterday. I must (temporarily) be down a good 20lbs on bench right now. Pretty pathetic, but I'm finding some wisdom in Jim Wendlers thoughts of sticking to a single goal. Leaning down...can't be worried about it, only do my best. 230x4 I just tossed my superset in the mix to show how I'm taking my sumo/hybrid stance on my rows and it feels great. Sorry about the abundance of ass cam in the videos...haven't found the sweet spot to set it up since all my equipment is against the wall now.
Deadlifts today. Top set was 390x10. My belt was digging into my side something fierce and I kept thinking between reps if I should stop and fix it. Knees seemed to be locking a bit early and my hips always rise first, but it felt good. I did some awkward hip thrust, light squats, and some ab work to finish it off.
Still pondering if I want to take deload weeks while cutting. It could help, but they always seemed to negatively effect me in the past. I'll see how I feel Monday.

Just so you know, I did 275x7 on Friday specifically to catch up to you. So now one of us has to quit being a pussy about bench, and I don't think it's going to be me first on this one.

Hah, that's awesome about squats.
I'll always try my best at bench, but it's such a sucky lift to chase 1RMs with. Bar travel is like 19 miles for me and I have no desire to shorted ROM beyond where it is at with a larger arch. It's not like I compete. I'm looking at solid gains this year, but I doubt much exciting will happen until I'm eating at maintenance or a surplus.

You two should establish a friendly little bench competition. No need to chase 1rm on that if you don't like doing so. What about reps?

^ OK, I suggest we see who can bench longer without saying F it and just OH pressing and doing dips or something.
C2WAD1
OH Press
100 x 5
115 x 5
130 x 7
Pause Bench
170 x 8 x 3 sets
DB Row
100 x 10 x 3 sets
Tricep Pushdowns
Shrugs
So that is my OH pressing day. Legs were shaking a lot...last rep I thought I was going to start tap dancing. Bench and rows are a superset, as well as pushdowns and shrugs. Still messing with my assistance work set structure, but I think 3 is solid. The first cycle I was doing 5 sets of roughly 10 reps and it beat me down on the cut. I'll go back to that when I'm eating more. Speaking of.
Weight is at 195 now. Weight loss is going incredibly slow, but I'm not complaining! I'm sure there is some recomp action going on...I'm just using the mirror to judge things and it's going good.
Hot one in the garage...everyone have a good one!

I'm not opposed. I was thinking of scrapping bench in favor of incline or dips for a while. I have the same bench distance issue but have been working form like a mother trying to get passed my 275 wall. If I can't do it in another 2 cycles I'm going to scrap the 5/3/1 bench component and figure out something else.

That's strange, I could have swore I posted this.
C2WAD2
Squat
195 x 5
225 x 5
250 x 10
GMs
Curl
Short workout today. Didn’t have the drive to do ab work or any sort of lunges or BSS. I’m not like the people who say they eat some huge meal, put on the bloat coat, and tear it up the next day. I ate a ton yesterday and energy isn’t any better. I need those consistent calories.

Bench felt poor, but deads went good today. Wasn't going to get them in, but I decided to just get in there and do the main work and forget the rest. Need to get my conditioning back up. The weight feel light, but I was gassed at the end.

What's up! Still lifting. Had a strain or slight pull in my hip flexor that kept me from squatting and my deadlift tanked, but it's a lot better now. I hit up some lighter sets of squats the other day 4x8 and other than soreness it went well. I'm just going to avoid the low rep ranges and try to get back into squats.
Since I couldn't really improve on anything I've actually been cutting, which kills my desire to log workouts. Strength down on everything, reduced volume and all that. Down 8.5lbs in 7.5 weeks as of now. Speaking about disappearing, I haven't seen anything from Mike in forever on wordpress, and Pete stopped posting there but I checked his log out on your site a few times.
Heh-heh, log.

I tried to squat at or above parallel to avoid using the hips too much while injured, but I swear every time I cut depth my knees just scream at me. It's nice to be back at full depth, even if it was 225x8x4sets LOL. I'll just be happy to get back to where I was by the end of this cut (I honestly think I'll get down to 180-182, shesh!) and then I'm going to just try and improve in reps then weight, accepting the fact my 1RM will always suck and that it hasn't done me much good. 5-12 reps on errythang.

Just a tiny update to say HI.
I'm ending my 11th week of cutting in the next couple of days and I've gone from 198.5 to 185.5 so far. It'll probably shift a little bit more (consistently stays the same for about 2 weeks, then the weight comes off over 2-3 days), but the weekly fat loss has averaged out perfect so far. I decided to keep on cutting to leanness, so I'll finish up next week and then take 12 days around maintenance. Works out nice so I can just eat normal on Thanksgiving and then start back up to reach the finish line. I don't think I have a long time to go, but I'm basing things on the mirror first, and everything else after. It's not like I have some deadline, so I'm trying to do things right, but at the same time not wait too long to get back into a surplus so I can get my lifts to where I want them (for my goal, I don't mean squat/bench/dead).
After that...two more weeks to readjust maintenance, then it's slow bulk time. I've pretty much lost all desire for big-3 type number chasing, but that's led to enjoying lifting more than I have in a long ass time. 2013 is about looking like I lift and not getting fat again.

Good luck with your getting fine and sexified goals in 2013. And yeah, lifting should definitely be enjoyable. Stressing over numbers is silly! Congrats on the fat loss so far, that weight decrease is a pretty big accomplishment in just 11 weeks.
Patience, dedication, drive.
