I am wondering who all out there has a 1000 cal deficit and is still burning fat with limited muscle loss? I am thinking of trying to lower cals and dont do cardio for a while. I work 72 hours a week now... I lift hard 4-5 days a week and the cardio is killing me. I have always done keto with a 500 cal deficit but running on an eliptical machine for 30mins 5 days a week. With good results but since stopping cardio I have hit a plateau.. any suggestions?

Archangel- I dont need your smarta$$ comment if you cant answer questions without being a smarta$$ maybe you should find another forum to post at because I was under the impression since I came on this board in 2006 that you could ask questions.... Ridiculous all the people that dont understand this forum is ran by people posting questions... yeah I understand that your right its not rocket science but my question was I am wondering who all out there has a 1000 cal deficit and is still burning fat with limited muscle loss? because keto diet with limited fat it will burn muscle. Just trying to see real results other people have had. I dont know my bf% but Im 5'11" 180

Pretty sure you're the jackass here.
You posted no relevant info about yourself. You fail in understanding the basic concepts behind nutrition and training, and yet I'm the smartass when I answered your question honestly?
You asked for suggestions as you had hit a plateau when cutting out cardio. Obviously your daily energy expenditure has gone down so much, that you are eating at maintenance now. So if you wish to keep losing fat without cardio, either find another activity or cut food intake.
Also a 1000kcal deficit will always cause you muscle loss.
Keto is dumb. <---- Jackass/smartass comment.Owner of:

For normal healthy ppl, as long as you hit 1-1.5 g pro, .4 g fat, and about 50 g carbs, it doesn't matter where the rest of the day's cals come from.
Eat to taste."Arterial plaque is primarily composed of unsaturated fats particularly polyunsaturated ones." (Felton, C V, et al, Lancet, 1994, 344:1195)
