I've read tons of threads on why having a pre-workout shake is better for you than post-workout.
Does this directly relate to people on TKD where you're trying to take in your daily carbs to fuel your workouts? I'd imagine taking it post, you're initial workout would suck, but in doing that, are you setting up supercompensation (assuming your carbs are non-fructose/sucrose) for the next workout? Therefore having a larger benefit than if you took a shake before?

There are arguments for pre and post but my advice is to choose what works best for you (personal preference). You can even split it and do both if necessary. No point of doing something that results in shi**y workouts, if that's the case.
