These are perfect for you. Either 200, 201, 202.

Agree with those who say don't get square toed shoes. And don't get anything trendy. Stick to classic, simple shoes. They look the most professional/classic without looking flashy, and will look good for years.

My pair of Loake 201's arrived this morning, just finished lacing them up and going for a quick stroll. Fit is perfect (UK size 11). Box also contained a care manual, shoe horn, cloth and polish.

Needless to say, I'm stoked with them. Thanks brahs for the recommendations, have repped where possible.

Negative there ghost rider. If you walked into a finance interview out of undergrad with a pocket square, you would be laughed at.

    What's the interview for?

Also, you can definitely wear a silver watch with a suit and pull it off nicely. Especially a black suit:

I'm spamming this outfit in the S&P and stylish/fashionable tumblr threads so I thought I'd add it to ITT

My grad program sponsored a Winter's ball in late January. This is what I wore:

Brooks Brothers Navy Solid Fitzgerald Cut
Club Room spread collar slim fit dress shirt
Bostonian Black Captoe Shoes (I plan on getting some AE Park Avenues soon to replace these)

Speaking of the above, what's the feel on tie clips?

Also, when tying my ties (I always go full windsor), the back part only comes down about half way to the 'loop' on the back of the tie. Is this normal for someone my height (i.e. 6' 1") ?

interview is at a healthcare provider's corporate offices for a health careers internship. only thing they said regarding attire was "business attire"

i was planning on going with a simple white pocket square. not doing any peaks, just leaving a sliver of it out.

i was thinking the pocket square would be just a little TOO much...

i always wear a tie clip whenever i wear a tie, jacket or not. looks nice and i'd rather not have my tie flapping around getting into food or whatever the **** else im doing / is in front of me.

pocket square is too dressy/fashiony for an interview. go as formal as you can without looking like you belong at a funeral.

Agreed. Pocket square is too much for this situation.

    Please Help:

Interview on Friday that came up very suddenly and unexpectedly, this is an engineering position in a manufacturing facility, so normal work attire for me would be jeans+polo/button up. I have a suit...but it's from when i was 25lbs lighter so no chance of it fitting.

I can buy a suit, but I don't think there's any way I can get it fitted in time (would have to be finished by Thursday lunch time). My thinking is that I'm better off wearing other clothes that fit well than a suit that doesn't fit. I have any combination of slacks/shirts available.

    1) Am I making the right decision on suit vs. no suit?
    2) What do you recommend for slacks/shirt/tie combination? Tie necessary?

I have to say, unless that watch is HUGE, the shape belies a bit of feminitiy. Looks like a skinny womens watch. Just my opinion, I would go a bit wider, or something rounder. But Again, just me.

I'd definitely get a suit bro. At the very least go chinos/dark pants + shirt/tie/blazer & business shoes.

what i wore to my interview today (yes terrible pic... no good places in my family's apt to take a pic unlike my dorm's bathrooms lulz)

Don't think it's the best but not bad IMO. Suit fits like ****, decided against getting it tailored though this summer and just gonna buy a suit off Indochino at the end of the summer.

Wore it with my Stacy Adams Sand Suede Wingtips.

Surprisingly got a LOT of compliments from the staff on the suit. Pretty much everyone said "Nice suit" or something along those lines. My interviewer even wrote down "nice suit"

I come home and first thing my mom does is scoff and starts to ridicule me / give me **** for wearing a suit to an interview. ****ing bitch.

also in b4 i get ripped apart w/ criticism

aware of ****ed up shirt collar and tie knot placement... was hot as fuuu sitting in a room with 50+ other interviewees for two and a half hours.
