This. I get compliments on my Blue Mako all the time. If you're college or HS age, its also a fairly classy watch amongst your peers (I see a lot of people wearing Nixons and G-Shocks around campus here).
I think this will be my next watch:

Watch bros I'm looking for a nice simple watch with a leather strap for around $100-250 preferably with a white face. You know....a simple looking watch.

How is the lume on Tags, specifically an F1? I'm a very nocturnal person, and lume is one of the first things I look for in a watch. Next purchase will be an F1 or the Tissot I mentioned a couple posts above.
What ya wanna know about it brah? I like it, has a great lume, decent size, has some heft to it. I cant stand wearing a watch I cant "feel" on my wrist. Havent played around with much of the chrono yet. It seems like a very solid watch after a few days though. I'm really digging having a watch with small seconds.Last edited by tarheelblue0378; 09-23-2012 at 08:41 PM.

I cant place it, but that looks just like watches made by someone else.
What was the one metsmike wanted for a while? Does he even still post here?
Can someone pls explain the fascination with Panerais, or LumTecs for that matter? They look like a generic weekender for the most part

tissot, auto, diver and around $1000? only seastar fits the bill. and if you have to decide between this and the tag f1, id go with this. much better value for money, that particular tag is extremely overpriced. and the lume sucks( unless you get the one where the whole dial is lumed, but that is ugly imo).

total cost: under $100
ended up getting a leather strap (pictured) as well as a blue and black bond nato strap as well. I wasn't sure if I should get a darker brown or if this was dark enough. I personally think its pretty good looking.
watch is wicked accurate, I lose about 1 second a day on a normal day. If I play golf, I gain about 7-8 seconds. All evens out.
opinions!?I like fast cars, nice watches, sharp knives, and good smells.

^Nice! I love Seiko for their budget aesthetics. For that particular model I see it come up on Slickdeals quite often and always put my finger on the trigger but never pull

I just sold two of these on ebay earlier this month. Picked up 3 of them from the slickdeals special back in April. I made a decent return on it after shipping them and getting raped by PayPal/ eBay fees. So I was pleased. (Essentially, the two I sold subsidized part of the one I kept). It gets some compliments, but usually its the variety of Zulu straps I wear that catch eyes.

Great watch!
The best thing with Invictas is their prestige. Most brands like Rolex often claim that they offer a really high end watch, but they're all machine made! Invicta has a team of watchmakers that hand assemble its pieces - that's why they sometimes fall off.
50mm could be bad - you might attract too much attention and in turn boost your ego too much.watches/cigars/scotch
