    Cast iron weights (Grips)

    Hello guys,

I am looking for weights with grippers in them (where u can stick your hands trough) which could come in handy for certain exercises.
    Example: See attachement!
However I got an odd question.. Somewhere I've heard that cast iron weights aren't exactly the strongest out there (not sure if true) but wouldn't the "holes" for your hands make them even weaker, making this a bad choice? I might be completely wrong here but i'm just asking..
Btw it's not that i'm using my weights to throw them around the house :P

    Thanks in advance!

For practical purposes I think it's highly unlikely for the cast iron plates to become weaker due to grip holes. I had several Fitness Fear grip plates fly off my truck and land hard on asphalt and concrete with no damage to them.

These weights aren't made for dropping repeatedly but your bar will get ruined first. Bumper plates are meant for dropping. Just FYI. Normal use it will not matter unless the weights are defective. One guy here got defective plates that cracked in shipping or soon after arrival.
