Well, you've been cutting so your flat.
As your muscles fill up with a surplus of cals and carbs you are going to gain water weight.

I'm going to 155 because I know when I start eating at maint. i'll probably jump up 10lbs due to the way I hold water when I consume carbs.

162.5 so i'm back down to my pre-turkey day weight.
Only took a fricken week of 1200 cals. LOL!

gonna eat some food today & try to do legs.
Lower cals = longer time to recover from workouts so i'm not sure my shoulders can handle deadlifts tonight.

Two months to go. Everyone is doing great. Stay focused and keep your eyes in the goal.

I set a goal of 275 by March 1. That's 18 pounds in 3 months. I'm going to weight (pun intended) until the end of December, but I think I may need to recalculate and lower that number. I lost 15 pounds in November alone. Maybe I should shoot for 265. I'm happy with my progress. Overall I'm down 36 pounds.

I have not been counting cals, nor exercising this week and I am only up .6 Been letting my body recover a bit, counting cals today and will be doing just cardio this week. I think I can knock myself down to atleast 152.9 by Tuesday. Looking forward to 150 by the 31st. Starting to get back looking like what I did in my old pictures. Once I get sub 150 I know I will have fuzzy abs, low 140's and I will be really happy. Still a bit of a guy and barrel shaped, I want to take in my sides a bit.
Also I graduate in 2 weeks (second degree) Then I can move on and get a new place and get back into the dating scene, which will be fun since I am getting in fricken' good shape.

After reading some I think i'm going to start taking creatine & see if it helps with my recovery from lifting so I can more workouts in during the week.
I know my water weight will probably go out some but i'm not worried.
With my deficit + maintained strength I KNOW i'm loosing fat.

But I still worry when I don't see progress daily. LOL!

Thank you for the tip! I'll try that if they happen again, it wasn't until I was training like mad but the cramps would just come out of nowhere and hurt like a b***ch.

Thanks for keeping the spreadsheet up, not sure what the colors mean cuz I'm a noob in this thread lol. Looks good to me! Having a visual is always good.

Sure it's no big deal on cheeseburgers and fries, but my current diet is pretty clean and it'd be tough to imagine eating 2,700 calories' worth of fish, broccoli, eggs, bacon, salad, steak, etc. In any case, it makes fat loss pretty simple!
Yes me too! Actually with anything, it seemed to get easier. I was never a huge sugar lover but cut it out entirely(along with all simple carbs) which made me want it more lol but it got WAY easier over time. Eventually I watched people eat desserts at family functions and really didn't feel like I was missing anything.

Excellent! I have a similar goal, getting back to the 240's by March 1 would be great so about 20lbs.

I have a hard time dealing with weight gain on the scale VS actual fat sometimes also.
Even though I KNOW i'm not accumulating fat stores it still gets discouraging when the scale goes up.

Wow I cannot remember the last time I ate 277g carbs. I only got up to 220g on Thanksgiving! After almost a year of being mostly paleo if I have so much as a baked potato I feel like I'm about to burst.

Yeah, it took a lot of conditioning to obliterate this mentality. Now, if the scale goes up I celebrate, and if it goes down I just sorta chuckle and think "I'll get 'em tomorrow."

Yeah, it took a lot of conditioning to obliterate this mentality. Now, if the scale goes up I celebrate, and if it goes down I just sorta chuckle and think "I'll get 'em tomorrow."
I was eating close to 500g on refeed days once per week. Rest days I eat 200, workout days, I try to eat around 250.

*Gasp* Haha. I'm doing a 1.5 week bout of PSMF per RFL. I'll be doing one or two 5 hour carb refeeds. My plan is several bagels with jam on top and maybe some homemade pretzels. Wonder if I can get to 300...
Fat and weak, but getting better.

I used to eat lower carbs too, but honestly, I've found that my muscles like more carbs. I can drop weight fast on low carb diets, but eating more carbs I can build a bit of muscle in the process. At this point, I am more happy with moderate weight loss and more muscle building.

Man I fell off my diet hard. I think I went out of town for like 3 days and then just didn't get back into cutting. This is probably the wrong thread to post this in but these may-aug-nov threads are pretty much all I've posted in on this forum. For the last week I've been telling myself every morning that I'm not going to cheat or that I'm going to hit the cardio but it keeps falling through. I'm still weight lifting 3x per week but my weight went back over 200 today and I think it's been my (17th) wake up call. Could one of you slap me if I disappear again? jk i know i'm the only one responsible for me, haha.

OK no more typing, time to get after that brawny paper towel guy look!

Whew dodged a bullet! I've been so good at the gym, working real hard BUT I have been eating badly, not checking in here for motivation, not tracking on my fitness pal. But I lucked out still down to 143 yay! Now ready to get back at it and lose this last 10 lbs. Thanks for still being here. I will be checking in.
Please kick my a$$ I really don't want to slide backwards.

I just don't count on those days or don't be so strict on weekends.

I sit on my ass all day + I got my kids after work & unless i'm lifting on those days and even so, I just don't do much so carbs get cut so I can make protein cals.

Some weeks I don't miss them & some i feel like crap so I do adjust.

Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

I feel lucky. All my angry red stretch marks have either disapeared or faded to white.
Except the ones on my upper legs.
Those are still very apparent but since I don't wear speedo's in the summer not many people see those.
