I had a 1000 calorie deficit day and a 1100 calorie deficit day and i plan on each day being 1000 calorie deficit days so I should lose a pound come tuesday. A weigh in of 146 would be nice. (bcaa water weight would be 5 pounds)
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

I've lost the eye of the tiger.
Been Stuck at 212-215 for over 2 and 1/2 months now.
I feel like Rocky after he got knocked out by Clubber Lang. All that drive and determination that willed me from 305 lbs down to 212 in just one year, just seemed to fade and I've been a shell of myself since.
I recognize this.
I know I've got to shake it and get back into the piston like rhythm I was in before.
I've got approx 6 weeks before the new year. I'd like to get as much accomplished as I can. Just have to get the eye of the tiger back.
I know there's no easy way out. (pun intended)
Count Calories, Lift Heavy and Take a Multi.
Simple as that............Simple as that.

Not precisely fat loss-related, but the importance of structured, progressive, consistent training cannot be overstated. I've been doing Starting Strength + Noobs + LeanGains for 2 months after 6 years of haphazard training and fad dieting. I saw decent but unimpressive results before my current regimen, but since October, I've dropped 11lbs and my 5RMs have gone:
(Squat/Bench/Deadlift)
225/165/250 to 290/185/310
I tried 1RM bench last night in lieu of my normal routine and PR'd at 210!!! This is on a 4000-5000 weekly deficit! I can't wait to see what I can do on a recomp after this cut is done! Woo!Fat and weak, but getting better.
1RMs as of 6/06/2012:
Squat: 320
Bench Press: 215
Deadlift: 350
Overhead Press: 120
Weighted Chin: +50

That is is. It think we call go through this to varying degrees (losing the eye of the tiger). Main thing is you don't throw it all down and stomp away, defeated. Goes for all of us. It's a journey with big hills and little hills. Keep climbing. We really are pulling for you--partly because we're pullling for ourselves, too.
Woot!
You speak the truth.

164 even.
Kept it under maint. slightly all weekend but I still ate a higher percentage of fats & carbs than I normally do.
Can I drop into 163 by tomorrow?
i'm gonna lift tonight then do some cardio.
I want to say my chest looks a little more defined & it does appear my gut is slightly smaller on the tape but it's hard to say because stuff is real squishy & there seems to be more give when I wrap the tape around which I guess is still a positive thing.

Since my initial weigh in last Tuesday @ 234lbs, ive been to the gym 4 times, whitewater kayaked for over 4 hours and ate just a bit under 2100 cals daily! So far i weighed 229lbs this am. Im pretty stoked that ive lost 5 pounds but somehow have a feeling that I couldve done better. this week is a new week! Hitting legs and shoulders at lunchtime!
