He just didn't have the habit or see the point. He never acquired that value, he was good at what he does but not necessarily in philanthropic activities.

he didn't have time for philanthropy. if he could he would spend every second of his day working towards his vision. if money was actually important to these mega wealthy guys, then they'd just sell everything, retire and buy everything and anything they wanted. there's a reason they still work.

You also don't pay taxes when your money is tied up in bonds / stocks. You can thank him for not supporting your economy by paying his personal taxes, outsourcing work to asian companies and buying components from foreign countries so very little of Apples spent money is recirculated into America.

He earned his damn money, he should be able to do with it as he please. I'm all for charity, but most of them are corrupt in reality. The Red Cross for example is one of the most corrupt organizations there is.
Throwing money at situations also rarely helps. Actually giving your time to charity is far more valuable than any monetary gift you could give.
