that dagger isnt gonna be very good against anything other than humanoid style enemies (backstabs and ripostes) and enemies that are weak to bleed unless you buff it (in comparison to something like a great scythe or uchi or black knight halberd etc.) with lightning/fire resin or a magic buff. its speed makes the dmg add up quick when buffed.

also if you turn yourself human then summon solaire he can solo the gargoyles for you.

Like someone else already said, the bandit knife isn't exactly amazing against big bosses since you have to get closer to make sure it hits, and even then it wouldn't do as much as a larger weapon, in general. Unless you managed to stay in a safe zone close to the boss and go nuts for 15 seconds, I think it's a pretty bad choice.

Someone suggest my Uchigatana upgrade. I usually make everything Divine since you get that bonus of keeping undead dead, but I don't believe I've ever upgraded a weapon into a magic weapon, so that's on the table too. Both upgrades do Magic damage in addition to the Physical damage, but I think the Divine scales with Faith, versus the Magic scaling with Intelligence. Shards aren't an issue, since they both take Green Titanite and you can farm those easily from the slugs in Blighttown. Fire upgrade isn't an option yet, I have yet to kill Quelaag, which is next on the list as far as game progression goes.

My character doesn't have an affinity towards either of those stats, as it's a STR/DEX build currently.

The Longbow is another option for upgrade, trying to make it a more versatile weapon, so it's +5 waiting for the upgrade.

i was farther with a warrior lol

anyway i made a new warrior for the lulz and killed the gargoyle with the drake sword (tried with a bastard sword at first but it was too slow and low dmg.. so i went and fetched the drake and it made short work of them..)

I want a one handed weapon that scales with level and can be upgraded to +15... and being more strength oriented than dex...

If you plan for your char to have moderate to high dex, just upgrade the uchi normally to +15.
It'll scale with your dex, and the damage output will end up being higher than any other upgrade path for that weapon.

Currently breezing through my NG+ replay w/ my SL 120 dex build.

pretty sure you gotta kill those black sorcerers you see in order for the skeletons to be die, a divine weapon could also kill them i think..

pretty sure you gotta kill those black sorcerers you see in order for the skeletons to be die, a divine weapon could also kill them i think..

both of these are correct. there are also weapons that are not part of the divine upgrade path but are still considered divine weapons such as that straight sword of astora near the undead dragon.

When you go through the fog gate, immediately get behind the rock structure to your left.
Strafe around it throughout the fight, keeping him on the opposite side, and attacking when he gives you an opening.

That's about the easiest way to manage that fight.

Had to summon a random brah to help me defeat them, thing is he did most of the work and died when smough had like 10 hp left, lol

Its like a longsword but it has better reach and better progression with dexterity..

I like the longsword as fuark... and its basically a unique longsword.

I'm confused. Have you beaten the game already and are just making new characters to run through it with?
