dat bench, b. fookin nice. oh boy. i'm super antsy about your benchin now.
yay for 350 comin off the floor like it's supposed to! damn heavy deads are so fickle. one day they love you and they next day they turn their back on ya.
congratulations to obi-wan and you on completing the death march! hehehhee. was it a big elevation change? or just slippery/rocky?

Thanks Bittybro!
I am a tiny bit antsy myself for a new bench PR as its been so long
DL is a love / hate kinda thing ...being well rested is only prep that minimizes the fickleness but wtf got time for rest lol
the death march was steep but short switchbacks , mostly stepping on boulders, crowed popular place where crazy fukers were running the trail ... not slick or anything ... it aggravated her knees and hips so def a never again kinda trail.
food porn today, no workout as we hiked several hours yesterday while prospecting with me as the hauler/digger ... gotta buy external frame for this hobby as my daypack is not cutting it
farmer walks with gallons of dirt in buckets bout killed my traps... which are now named Thor & Hercules ... they spoke to me so i had to give them names
bench & squat session combined tomorrow but for now food ...
delish eggplant pizza (artichoke hearts, spinach, mushroom, red onion, black olives, mozzarella, and few bacon bits) and delicata squash (roasted with sprinkle of salt, pepper and garlic)
lol @ my pre water cut wt lose as my consistency with the low carbs is awful urghLast edited by beatha; 10-11-2014 at 02:15 PM.

pretty much that ^^^ is what we did. picked differnt toppings based on what we like on pizza / had in fridge.
the artichoke hearts were a spontaneous purchase today along with hot pickled okra (no it was not on pizza)
the hearts were a nice after backing flavoroide to add.
btw what she does not say in her recipe is how to rid eggplant of bitterness
*** slice, salt liberally, let sit/sweat for half hour, rinse well, pat dry then use them as directed in recipie*** -<---- without that step these can be quite horrible
also tip is to make sure to cut bout 1/4" thick as any thinner makes em hard to pickup like hand food and nom nom"Ego kills spirit. Find confidence in your own progress not in comparison to others." - me waking up 11/21/15

Jeez 185 for 4 good reps and felt like you could get 5, Bea what have you been doing for your bp (beside bp-ing of course!) Are you still working with that slingshot? You were semi stuck a while back, just wondering what it was that got you through it. Invisible spotter brah... ahhh I'm not even gonna go there.

lol yeah perhaps best to not go there .
getting over a hump with benching ... for me increase in intensify & volume ... DNG & JJ pointed me to Macenkos - BLESS YOU 2 - ... sheiko had volume but 70% x lotta reps was not doing it ... i got really good at 175-180 but repping 185 was hard.
also after last meet i started doing CGBP 3 set x 7-10 reps going as heavy as I could that day so 115-135 range will up that range when i get 10@135 x3 after a tough regular bp session"Ego kills spirit. Find confidence in your own progress not in comparison to others." - me waking up 11/21/15

lol ^^^ cute .... i will try to take good mental notes and make a thorough right up this time ... something worthy of the black cat.
ah so it was supposed to be DL day but apparently princess sparkle pony set thing in motion such that i was forced to rest 1 more day ... or maybe the home depot hackers should take the blame for my failure to update gym auto payment to a new card in a timely fashion. still think its absurd to not let a regular in fuking absurd i tell ya.
being turned back at the door has spurred me to contact two local PL gyms so perhaps pissing me off may not have been a bad thing in the end ... we shall see

my gym may soon be my old gym depends on rates anyways let me correct my earlier post ... 16 days out opps counting was off ... I am down 7 lbs in the last a month some of it water wt, felt the low carbs in todays DL ... 390 not gonna happen till meet day. not complaining just making a note that i have a feeling not following CP strictly may result in smaller gains this time around. Tapering off volume but keeping intensity high.

Thanks so much for the encouragement JJ
Warmed up to my squat opener last night thumbsup.jpg, tomorrow will do same for bench and from the till meet will just warm up, do some light technique stuff, stretching and foam rolling. Oh and as much sleeping as possible ... hear on NPR report about a sports study today that it's really true about * gains happen and performance improves when one is well rested *
9/9 is the goal and some PR's are in the plan but we shall see how the day goes"Ego kills spirit. Find confidence in your own progress not in comparison to others." - me waking up 11/21/15

Hey Bea!!! Awesome workout! I was looking at the numbers in your sig and you're right onto it. I saw how you got a reps pr at 190 on BP's earlier and the paused work shows you're ready to hit new prs...you are in fine form for next Saturday! You will do a magnificent job no doubt. Thumbsup.jpeg
I miss ya heaps too Bea! Feel so darn guilty to let so much time go by. As to another journal, not likely. Have been out of the game too long...tata muscles but the fat comes and goes. Not all is lost thankfully... have gained baggy skin, you should see what happens when I go down on all fours!!!!!
Yes, definitely enjoying the warmer weather. The garden is looking glorious! And boy it wafts of roses...I have to shut the front door to keep the smell out sometimes.
I always have good intentions to keep up with everyone. Life has been tough the past few months. Plan to bounce back and make some changes but these things take time. Thank you for this message, you've made my night! xxLast edited by Lou1se; 11-01-2014 at 10:08 AM.

I always had billing issues with that gym There's a few gyms around here that I would like to check out but to far in the east valley for me lol
Great job on creeping up in the numbers in here. Hopefully you'll have the numbers are least close to what you wantIf this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.
