As a Triathlete, weight means a lot, within the last 6 months i seen my body fat go from 14 to 17 and weight jump from 87 to 93 kg, i haven't trained as hard as what i should have being doing, but then again it's all down to my eating habits. So with the winter soon here i was looking at doing some cutting. and was wondering about this meal plan which was giving to me by a friend.
MEAL 1
BREAKFAST
FLANAGHANS PORIDGE OATS 50 GRAMS
2-3 EGG WHITES
1 FRUIT OF CHICE EXCEPT BANANA
MEAL 2
LOW FAT YOUGHURT
1 BANANA
MEAL 3
LUNCH
CHICKEN FILET AND SALAD OF CHOICE
FRUIT OF CHOICE EXCEPT BANANA
MEAL 4
LOW FAT YOUGHURT
FRUIT OF CHOICE EXCEPT BANANA
MEAL 5
DINNER TUNA SALAD OR FISH OF CHOICE
FRUIT OF CHOICE EXCEPT BANANA
TIPS:
- DRINK AT LEAST 2 LITRES OF WATER EVERY DAY, IT HELPS IF YOU DRINK 0.5 LITRES BETWEEN EVERY MEAL.
- MAKE SURE CHICKEN IS CLEAN WITH NO BREAD CRUMBS OR BATTER, AND COOK ON HEALTHY OIL.
- CHIKEN CAN BE SUBSTITUTED WITH BEEF, OR FISH BUT LEAN MEAT ONLY
- MAKE SURE YOU EAT ONLY ONE BANANA A DAY AS ITS FULL OF CARBS AND THAT’S WHAT YOURE TRYING TO CUT DOWN TO A MINIMUM.
- THE 5 FRUITS A DAY IS FITTED INTO THIS DIET AND WILL HELP WITH LOSS OF BODYFAT
- DO NOT EAT AFTER 8PM IN EVENING, IF REALLY HUNGRY BEFORE BED EAT A LOW FAT YOUGHURT.
- PORRIDGE OATS ARE YOUR SOURCE OF CARBS FOR ENERGY AND MUST BE EATHEN IN MORNING.
- EGG WHITES ONLY NO YOKES
CHEAT MEAL ONCE A WEEK, THIS IS WHERE YOU EAT ONE MEAL A WEEK OF WHATEVER YOU WANT BUT ONLY ONE.
IF USING MILK WITH PORRIDGE OATS USE LOW FAT.

You never mentioned calories and macros, these will be the primary determining factor in changing body composition.
As for the tips you were given...
- Most fruits are full of carbs, if you're doing triathlon training, you want to fit as many carbs as you can into your calories
- 5 fruits a day isn't going to help nor hinder body fat loss
- There are absolutely no consequences to eating after 8pm
- No need to waste egg yolks

There was noting mentioned on the sheet about calories, i take it if i am trying to lose body fat % i would need to cut calories from 2500 to maybe 2000 or less. i won't be doing much triathlon training for the next 2 months so i was thinking this will be the best time to put this carbohydrate cut diet into effect.
