I've been watching professional games on YT for a while now and theres some things I've been wondering for a while:

Why does no pro teams use the Batrider+Medusa combination? Once Bat pulls out a hero, the Medusa can turn on the ultimate if the other team contests it.

Dazzle + OD + Death prophet sounds like an awesome combination in theory with short cooldown heals and nukes. Your team will almost always be healed and high on mana... you can swap out the Dazzle for Necro or Krob for something like a Pugna or similar but I've never seen a similar combo, even though it's not impossible to lane them!

Why have I not seen a core Enchantress yet?! She farms the jungle pretty darn fast, Midas actually synergises with her ultimate and all she needs is aghanims (ofcourse a MoM/Hyperstone + bkb would be nice too).

Prolly cos Medusa needs like 40 minutes of un-interrupted farm to truly start dealing damage. It just fits horribly into the current early-aggression meta.

Squishy as fukk and no realiable stuns. No thanks jeff. Besides, OD does so well as a mid hero so I'm not really sure if there is a point in putting him in a tri-lane.

I'm sure this has been done vs line ups with lots of high-armor heroes.

batrider isn't picked much anymore because he got nerfed to hell + it's easy to counter him. you can do things like abaddon shield, which instantly cancels ult. you can pick nyx and run with your E on into the fire and it stuns him. you can pick someone like puck and the enemy batrider will set you up for massive ults/silences. he is just a hero everyone knows how to play against.

medusa you cannot just casually pick up at all. everyone knows she is strong, yet she has rarely been played. this is because her early game laning is very bad. her nuke, which is the only thing you can harass with, pushes out the lane very hard. what can she do if there is a trilane against her? she can do nothing even with her own trilane. a medusa trilane will just be beaten by any other trilane.

death prophet is another hero who is really good, but again you can't just keep drafting her. she needs levels very badly, so you can't run her in a trilane. when you put her solo, she is easy to gank with like a bounty hunter or smoked up support.

enchantress is way too single target of a hero + farms too slowly to run as a core. you will not outcarry an alchemist, luna, or even a potm for that matter.

To be fair, Bristleback also farms slow as hell, but he is still often used as a carry nowadays.

that is usually because he is a counter-carry. you just stick him against the enemy melee carry and you will win. so while he doesn't farm fast, he shuts down the enemy carry completely.

if you run him in safe lane, then the point is to take the game over in the 10-20 minute mark when the enemy carry doesn't have much yet.

aghanims+MoM ench can be seen in competitive. and yeah it ****s **** up

Been doing CM alot. Slardar is a GREAT carry. Prolly not the hardest carry if game goes past 40 minutes. But raping lanes whether we run a 2/1/2 or 1/1/3. Mad fun too. Had a rough game with a bane against me but still won. Scariest thought is heroes with evasion.... but MKB fixes that right up. Usually rush BKB and skip the armlet. Not a big armlet fan on slar. U rape just fine without it.

cm is easier than AP in ranked imo. i enjoy putting bristle or kunkka in an offensive trilane if they have a melee carry.

LC is pretty legit mid because her nuke is so spammable and they really have to be careful about their positioning or it hurts them bad.

I like building blink on her but it gets really annoying later on with all the actives you have to toggle before blinking in. Brb toggle armlet, then cast her regen spell, then cast bkb, then blink in. It just takes awhile.

next 3 games were land slides with team mates arguing. i even offered to play whatever no one wants to play lol

I'm 4200 solo and half the games are unplayable. You need to be at around 5000 to get stable games and it's almost impossible to climb so much.

Havent que'd solo but once or twice. Ussualy in a 2-3+ party. But since Ranked came out Quality of games has gone up EXPONENTIALLY IMO.

There is no "EASY" hero. Play them all. Lose about 50 games. Then you'll have learned enough about all the heroes/items to TRY and start getting better at the game.

Wut. There are tons of braindead heroes. sven, sniper, slardar and wraith king are some examples that spring to mind. Positioning/objectives/items are way more important than learning the mechanics of individual heroes as a beginner.

^^ exactly. To some degree all heroes are the same(some require more micro than others like chen, meepo, visage, etc. . More important to learn how and why things happens and in what situations. Till then play "All Random" Will give u a chance to experience all heroes and all sorts of random wacky combination of stuff.

You're nyx - you buy the wards - especially if you are snowballin'! Upgraded dagon over blink? Better to go ethereal blade cost wise. But yeah it's hard to carry a game with nyx after a certain point even if he is rollin'. That is the worst jugger build ever
