just got my beta invite but I don't see where I can invite a friend ? Went to my manage gift tab and had nothing in there

They stopped giving friend invites because people were selling them.

Can Beta Keys be traded or gifted?

I'm a fool and just signed up lol. Wondering if keys can be traded since it would be weird to use someones else's Steam account if that is even possible. I might be willing to trade a Guild Wars 2 Beta key (if I get in /wink) for an unused or tradable Dota 2 key.

Then yesterday a bunch of people got new friend invites. My friend got 2, I got 2, and a few other people I play with got 2. Not sure how many got them but a bunch did.


I came from playing Dota 1 years ago, I skipped over LoL and HoN (Ive heard lots of complains from LoL players about the towers not doing s***, so they must be strong in LoL?). It was pretty easy to pick up but I missed out on some of the newer heros (I started at about 6.12 in DotA and ended around 6.51) so I had to learn on the fly what Windrunner, Batrider, AA, etc... were all about.

I have had some people try and add me but I don't add the randoms because they just add you after you wreck face, I always try and drop some misc memes so if you are misc brah go ahead and add me when you see them!

I ended up trading away my Guild Wars 2 beta account to a guy who got an extra invite through the survey. Totally worth it.

Is the only way to get into the beta is through the survey on steam client? Signed up a few weeks ago but no luck yet, really wanting to try this game out.

I was playing with decent graphics, then randomly one game everything became fuzzy and I have not been able to fix it. Another guy in the same game said his graphics changed that game as well out of no where. Anyone else have this problem?

I was running it fine one game, next game everything is fuzzy as fuk.

Towers in LoL are really strong at lower levels, but are ignorable at high levels unless you are fighting for a while. The designers tried to fix this by giving towers 25% ArPen, but it didn't do much.

there was a recent influx of invites, so the lowest they'll prolly go for is 15$, but you might score and get 10$ for one of them

I thought that steam stopped the giftable invites solely for the reason that people were selling them.

idk why but they started adding them again, i was one of the unlucky ones that didn't get the 2 extra invites, some of my friends got them

Didn't realize I even had an invite, my steam account was linked to an old closed email. Just logged in and I had it but my computer runs it so badly, it looks worse than the dota graphics on wc3

If you think the Dota 2 community is bad, don't ever play heroes of newerth haha. There is a tutorial in game I think. Just read some guides or watch dota streams and you'll pick the game up pretty quick.

Don't listen to them, you can't get banned for learning the game.

DOTA 2 community isnt as madbad as other mobas, so you won't get reportred for being bad.

Check out twitch.tv if you ever get bored, you can watch high level dota players stream matches. It helps a lot, shows you how to play, what items to get etc.
