we just need to do what we did last time... aqib talib up johnsons ass and then have 8 in the box to stop foster.
with gronkowski back and hernandez and everyone fully loaded, we should be good to go.

Think the gameplan will be simple on the defensive side of the ball. Focus on stacking the box vs. Foster, putting a lot of attention on Andre Johnson, and then like you say, daring Schaub to go after us. Offensively, and I say this tentatively, because I know what our playoff performances have been like on occasion recently, I don't see how they are going to stop us.
Gronkowski barely healthy managed a TD grab vs. Miami, he's had another two weeks, plus those reps to help him get back in game shape, Hernandez should be closer to 100%, Bolden is back, etc. Just looking really good IMO.BRB' Projectile Vomitin'

any of you brahs going to the game? Taking amtrak from union station in DC to head up early Sunday morning. Entire family lives up in Boston and they were able to get tickets. So psyched. Heard it'll be around 55 degrees.

scary stat guys
In the Belichick era, the Patriots are 8-0 in the playoffs against teams they didn't face in the regular season that year. Against teams they did face (like Houston), they're just 8-6, and just 3-6 from 2005 on.President Trump 2020 and 2024

I think this game will be a nail biter until the fourth quarter. 38-24 Pats win.
Other games:
Denver 31 - Baltimore 28
San Fran 24 - Green Bay 21
Atlanta 21 - Seattle 17

I'm not a fan of stats like that. This is a different team than any of those teams, and the team they are playing against is as well.
Just looking at how that statistic is worded, I bet it's a LOT different if you went back to 2001 and did the same thing..........
I'm not thinking this game is a gimme for New England, but Gronk coming back and the defense gelling has me feeling pretty good.

u hit the nail on the head!
one of the hardest thing for other teams is to adjust to how fast they run their offense (for example); Also, the same can be said about defense because right out the gate we take your best weapon away (cough cough their running back). If we look at the last game against Houston we hit'em hard in the first two quarters and then we STRUGGLE to convert a first down (because they adjusted obviously!) until the 4th quarter...
This game is going to be a battle from the get go!

They're also 5-1 getting to the Super Bowl with the bye-week (yes, unfortunately Jets game is the exception ha ha...). I'm not TOO worried about the Pats blowing out the Jets then getting beat a couple weeks later. I seriously believe Rex Ryan had a brilliant Brady-killing gameplan in his back pocket that Rex was saving for his own Super Bowl run or to prevent an otherwise eminent Patriot Super Bowl. . Do you remember that season? Brady was unstoppable 36 TDs 4 INTs. The league had never seen anything like that offense before and the defense was bad but not historically bad like 2011. That was back when the Jets were the only ones playing us close, even Pittsburgh gotten beaten by 13 in Pittsburgh that year. BB is brilliant when you give him a bye-week or that 40 day SB break; he got that 2011 defense to hold a red hot Eli Manning to only 24 points (McCourty, Arrington and Edelman vs Cruz, Nicks, Manningham; BB is still a genius). Truly that was his hidden ace up his sleeve and that he doesn't have anything left, evidenced by him not being able to beat us since then. If the Jets didnt beat us that year it would have been hard for anyone else to. RR probably prevented us from a SB that year.
The Texans had a lot of players injured but the Pats also had injuries and were nicked up so this WILL be a different game but the offense is still great and the defense is better than it has been in years; we can actually plan to do some things with them, attack for once. I like our chances. Just like everyone said if they execute the gameplan and don't give them turnovers and field position we should win.Phoenix Suns

“Ah, Welker’s not Green,” Phillips said. “He’s a good player, but he’s not that big or a real athletic guy. He’s a quick guy that gets open on option routes.”

Most first downs ever, at 444? Best turnover margin at +25? Third highest scoring offense at 557? Tops in total offense at 427.9 ypg? No offensive first-team All Pro members; one second-teamer - Logan Mankins. Really?

So would you rather face Ravens or Broncos? I don't know much of a difference it makes, if Ravens can manage to beat the Broncos then they are obviously a threat.

Cool what up? I lived in RI too when I was a little kid. My best friend's brother was a huge Boston sports homer but me and my best friend only liked football back then though. I was like 6 or 7 when we moved; then when I started watching the NBA and CFB I watched the Suns and ASU. I love the Cardinals but for the last few years I've only been a VERY casual Celtic and Boston College guy. Rondo is my favorite young player but to be honest I haven't really followed either of them at all (C's or BC) the last few years. Only started paying attention to the Celts recently cause of the Gortat trade talks.
On another note lets hope Peyton keeps his tradition alive of choking in the playoffsPhoenix Suns
