He signed with the Saints within 5 minutes of the 7th ending
edit - Patriots signed Dixie State TE Joe Don Duncan.
Duncan (6-foot-2 5/8, 268) was a D-2 All American, finishing his senior year with a 71-1,045-14.7-13 line. He performed 35 bench reps at the Combine, demonstrating NFL-caliber strength and weight room work ethic. Duncan's athleticism doesn't pop off the tape and he has a long way to go as a blocker, but he's a sure-handed catcher with versatility, having played slot, tight end, fullback, and on special teams. He has a chance to develop into a useful H-back or No. 2 tight end. Like any tight end in New England, Duncan will be a name to monitor.★☆★★☆ tmiscplace2 crew ★☆★★☆

I'm really happy with the last day of the draft. We added some much needed depth and versatility to the offensive line. Stork and Halapio aren't exactly big names, and aren't gonna wow anyone, but they will be solid additions, and can certainly help out right away, but for me Cameron Fleming is a GREAT pick this low, really solid player, and an absolute steal for us tbf.
Intrigued about Zach Moore, because if he's coachable, he could make a real impact.
Think we're going to continue to address offensive concerns though. UDFAs are one thing, but a FA TE or two with NFL experience wouldn't go amiss, and I'm still holding out hope for some kind of ridiculous Mallett for Andre Johnson trade, or some kind of move for Blackmon etc.BRB' Projectile Vomitin'

I know it was always unlikely, but pretty disappointed we never chased Miles Austin.

Like this signing 102 tackles last year. More than anyone on Pats last year.
http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/20...r /> Patriots add linebacker James Anderson
The Patriots signed veteran linebacker James Anderson on Wednesday, adding needed depth to that position.
Anderson spent last season with the Bears, and started all 16 games and led the team with 102 total tackles. He added four sacks, four pass break-ups and a fumble recovery.
The 30-year old was a third-round pick of the Panthers in 2006, and spent the first seven years of his career with Carolina, playing in 94 games, though he did not become a starter until 2009.
Anderson had a career-best and Panthers franchise record 145 tackles in 2011. He is listed at 6-foot-2, 235 pounds.
Receiver Mark Harrison was released to make room for Anderson. Signed as a rookie free agent out of Rutgers last year, Harrison did not even practice with the Patriots, spending all of 2013 on the reserve/non-football injury list with a foot injury suffered during his final college season.

He's guaranteed to stun everyone every 3 years or so. While it sucks to see him go I think the pros outweigh the cons.
Pros:
4th rounder that will likely nearly be a 3rd (lol)
2nd year TE that could be a poor mans TE (likely to see quite a few looks and be our #2/H-Back)
Cap room to re-sign McCourty & Revis
Cons:
Miss the ~2 years of pro bowl work Mankins still had in him
Now we get to see how good our new OL coach is in trial by fire, here's hopingRefer to User Title

as long as they can keep Brady up right I won't complain but Tommy took a good chunk of sacks last year (perhaps cause the young WR group)

Patriots cuts:
LS Danny Aiken
LB Steve Beauharnais
DE Jake Bequette
WR Josh Boyce
C Braxston Cave
LB Ja'Gared Davis
S Kanorris Davis
RB Roy Finch
WR Jeremy Gallon
S Shamiel Gary
RB Jonas Gray
OL Jon Halapio,
TE Steve Maneri
DL Eathyn Manumaleuna
FB Taylor McCuller
LB James Morris (injured reserve)
CB Daxton Swanson
DL L.T. Tuipulotu
DL Jerel Worthy
From what i can see Nink will be replacing Aiken as LS there is a few guys who still have PS eligibility Boyce etc.★☆★★☆ tmiscplace2 crew ★☆★★☆

Combo of that and our inner OL playing poorly.
Yeah looks like either Nink or Wendell - he's been practicing as a LS apparently. I was a bit surprised since pretty much every NFL team has a dedicated LS now but seems our team is so deep we can't afford to waste even that one roster spot.Refer to User Title
