Question I get so tired at around 2pm, everday!

Does anyone else get really tired bout early arvo, say I wanna work out at bout 4pm because i do prefer to workout in the afternoon or when i finish work at 4, i get so exhausted. Maybe I should switch to morning workouts but i also find I am so drowsy.

Just wondering if anyone hits a wall ealry-mid afternoon and if they have any supplements they take to help keep their energy up all day, even after a full day at work. I sit down at work infront of a computer, so although it is not physically tiring, i still find my eyes stinging and i get so exhausted, and I really dont wanna be, i wanna train for a good hour with a decent intensity.

Anyways any tips would be great or even if some ppl get this way also, would be nice to hear

Sometimes actually just getting to the gym and doing a quick 3-5 brisk walk or jog can help you wake up and get your blood flowing. Even days i feel tired or just not wanting to go, i force myself and start off with a jog. After that i feel ready to go and begin lifting and the high just builds up from there!

Try 1 or 3 eggs. I have a lot in the morning and they keep me going, but you know what they say: "Eggs are Energy."

Don't eat too heavy at lunch maybe? I always found if I ate crap/junk for lunch, it just made me lazy later on, could be a crash too many carbs? The afternoon wall is pretty common.

    ^^This.^^
The lag in the early afternoon usually comes from the crash from the carbs from the foods you eat during lunch, as well as the body using available energy to digest your lunch. If you are able to, have smaller portions throughout the day and have some "complex carbs" like those found in fruits and vegetables when you feel that crash coming on. The smaller portions spread throughout the day will not only keep a constant flow of nutrition to the body to use right away, it will also keep the metabolism and your energy up and steady.

If it's happening everyday around the same time it could be anything...your diet, what your eating and when, your sleep, lack of vitamins, or maybe you're just getting burned out on your job and it's become boring to you. Just have to step back and focus on the entire picture and start making some small changes in your routine and or lifestyle to find what it is and then fix it.

I have the same issue some days, that afternoon slump where I can barely stay awake, but it only lasts for a short time and then it's over with and it doesn't effect me in any way the rest of the day/evening.

I agree, watch what you eat throughout the day especially around lunchtime, get plenty of sleep.

Lately I have been lacking on sleep and am stuck sitting at a desk all day I've beencrashing bad in the early afternoon, its tough to get to the gym after work, but as mentioned earlier getting there and starting with a brisk jog or run really gets things going again, blood flowing, energy boosted reday to go.

You'd be surprised what a quick 15 minute power nap can do for your energy level. It has nothing to do with your diet. Unless you're some type of hyper active A type personality, everybody gets tired in the afternoon. Do what I do and take a quick 15 minute nap and you will wake up completely refreshed ready to work out.

I use White Flood, which is a pre-workout suppliment. You mix a scoop of the powder with water and it gets you moving. Even if you're dead tired, you'll have a hard time sitting still once it kicks in. I work outside in the heat all day, and if I come home and fall asleep I'm not waking up in 15 minutes. I'll be out for 2 hours. So taking this when I get home pretty much leaves me no choice but to work out, because sleep is not happening. Everybody is different though, and this is what helps get me going on those days where my motivation is lacking.

I like oxyelite to get me through the day or alternatively yerba mate tea for that afternoon boost without being too amped to go to sleep.
