Hi everyone. This is my first post on the forums . I'm a 16 year old Chinese guy from a small country named Malaysia. I haven't really gotten into bodybuilding yet, although i plan to in the future. Anyway my question is: how much can guys grow after 17? I turn 17 this year on October 6th and I'm about 5'7''. I have pretty large hands for my height (18 cm+), so can i still grow a few inches?

It's possible. You may stay the same height or maybe you'll grow. Looking at your parent's height's will probably give you some indication, though it's impossible to tell for sure if you'll grow or not.

guys can grow up to the age of 21 brah. A good indication of seeing what your potential height COULD be is to get ur parents height, add them together, divide by two and add 6.5cm. Not saying that this will be ur potential height bro. It's all in your genetics. Eat well, sleep well to reach ur genetic potential.
good luck with you height gain goals OP

What you need to really get big is a solid routine which focuses on light weights and cable movements to really force blood into those muscles and get that deep burn & powerful contraction

Varies, some stop earlier then others. My stepdad was your height until 18, then grew a foot in two months. Then again, some shoot to 5"8 early on then stop completely. These guys are right. Eat well, sleep well, lift well; and genetics will decide from there.
Best of growth OP.Lifting for the future rather then the present.

Thanks for your replies guys. I think I may have been wrongly measured at the doctor's office yesterday. I did some reading online and it seems the height measuring tools in doctor's offices are pretty inaccurate. My bro says he's exactly 5'7'' and I'm about an inch taller than him. So 5'8'' isn't too bad :P. Also, I do wanna get started on bodybuilding soon, but im a total n00b lol. What is the optimum age to start hardcore deadlifting, squats, etc.?

next time you go to the gym man, srs ....
read the stickies and look for a good starting routine.
would also recommend looking at the stickies in the nutrition section.
also, watch some youtube videos of people benching, squating and deadlifting so you know what form you are supposed to have.PM me for workout advice Ladies
