I know squat is more quad dominant and deadlift is mainly lower back, hams, and glutes. But still, does deadlift work your quads at all? If so, how much?

The initial lift off the ground I get a short feeling in quads and glutes, then hams, then lower back to finish.

About as much as is necessary to go from whatever angle of knee flexion you're in at the bottom to get to lockout at the top.
SQ 172.5kg. BP 105kg. DL 200kg. OHP 62.5kg @ 67.3kg

This, the reason why you can lift more weight with a dead lift is because of the ability to use your hams, glutes and lower back ONTOP of using your quads. If quads were eliminated, the dead lift would not be a strong lift at all. Also, try to visualize the motion and compare it to the motion of a squat, you will notice that considerable extension about the knee joint is present in both cases.
