    DOing 5x5 2 days in a row

I know it says not to mess with the program but i did it last week and did not mind it at all and was wondering what you guys think as its better for my schedule.

Im doing madcow where i lift on MOnday: squats row bench
Tuesday: Military Press: Deads, light squats

then i rest up wedneday and thursday!

Will my numbers be affected though since i did not rest a day for the tuesday workout?

If your schedule permits, I think you could benefit from the extra day of rest in between.

if you did it without any problem, that tells me that you are lifting, for you, very light weights on your squats. once you start putting up some decent numbers, you'll need the day of recovery.

or, you have extraordinary recovery abilities.

i think you're doing your shoulders a disservice if you do military the day after you bench. i'd rest a day in between if it were me but if no issues for you then continue.

Rest and recovery will be more important, the longer you do the program. It may not affect you now, but it will most likely affect you in the future, when it gets really hard to progress every week. Unless you have no other choice, don't mess with the program.
