    What's more important; Calories or Macros?

    Whats more important to hit at the end of the day... Your calories or your macros? Also, lets say you hit your expected calories for the day but in the form of different macros (lets say more carbs/fat), what impact would this have on body composition?

    Your macros determine your calories.
    If you hit your macros, you will hit your calories.

    If you are not competing, it's not a big deal IMO. My macros fluctuate day in and day out. I, however, always make sure I hit pro and fat within a certain range tho.

    What's more important, a full tank of gas, or air in your tires? They both matter, they're interrelated.

    if u mean one day, than as above, it won't matter.

    but im assuming by "at the end of they day" you're talking in the long run. well, you should focus on hitting both target calories and macros.

    as for your second question. lets not consider the impracticallity of getting all calories from one macro source and say (read the stickies) and hit the recommended amounts. additions to the minimums (while still hitting you're calories) are unlikely to have a noticeable impact on body comp.

    of course some folks just feel and perform better with a different amount of each macro, but that's up to u to figure out.

    IMO calories... but thats cuz im a lazy ass and cant be bothered to work out the macronutrients in my foods. I generally count calories and try and eat high amounts of protein where possible, its working so far

    Shock! I don't count calories or macros but think there both equally important. . I wiegh my food when I prep on Sunday and Wednesdays I have 4 oz turkey breast and green veg any amount as long as it's steamed last meal out of 4 i have 5oz chicken with sweet potato breakfast I have oats and egg whites i eat this days 123 & 567 day 4 I eat 25g rice with my meals, for this i worked out my bmr then my TDEE for fat loss I will add 500 calories to maintain my calories have never hit 1602 ranging from 1300-1500 but my macros have been in a close range of 160carbs 160pro 36fat ive lost 39lbs and 17%fat as long as I train 4-6 days a week i see results good luck with your fitness goals xx
