How much should I be able to bench?

I am 18, 6 ft 1 and 130 pounds. How much should I be able to bench? I have done 110 for up to 6 reps but is that low? I haven't been working out very long but is that really low? I know people say you should be able to lift your own weight or above but is that really fair? I mean, short people have to lift the weight about half as far as tall guys and have more power because their arms are shorter (based off physics and the lever and fulcrum) so if a tall guy has to work a lot harder, how can anyone say your own bodyweight if it will be more difficult for a tall guy than a short guy? What should I be able to lift at my height and weight though?

No it takes months to be able to bench your bodyweight for reps if you start off with a hypertrophy routine the entire time. Just keep lifting hard or do a strength routine and you'll gain.

Dude shut the **** up and train. This is bodybuilding not powerlifting. Nobody cares how much you bench. Bodybuilding is all about appearance.
But if you want to check how much you should be able to check this out

Get on that SS or Stronglifts 5x5 and eat above maintenance. Hypertrophy programs aren't going to give you a large bench very quickly.

Everyone has different strength so it varies. If you want it higher do SS, but since your in the bodybuilding section you shouldn't really be bothered about the weight.

Also at 130lb, eat. Eat like you've never eaten before.

How long is a piece of string. Generally speaking if you can lift your own bodyweight thats pretty good for the 'average' person. Im not average and strive for the best so I wouldn't settle for that. Just get in the gym and find out instead of asking a pretty dumb question that nobody can truthfully answer for you lol.

I actually was just guessing. I don't have access to 100's but I can do 12 with 80 pound db's so I could record that one if you really want me to prove it.

A strength oriented routine and a caloric surplus worked wonders for me with both strength and hypertrophy, so you might want to see if your body responds the same way mine did.
