    I'm 128lbs and I regularly do 45lb weighted pullups x 10. What kind of number am I going to need to place/be competitive. I think I could easily throw on 70lbs and get at least one.

    Yes, 1 pull up with as much as you can do from a dead hang and getting your chin over the bar. For example, if you did a pull up with 105lbs added to you and you weighed 150lbs at the time, that would be 170% of your body weight. Highest % wins.

    You can calculate the % as follows.

    (weight added + body weight)/body weight *100 = your %

    (105 + 150)/150 * 100 = 170%

    if youre 5'7" and 150lbs, and you can only do 12 pullups, id say like 4 or 5 reps with the 45lbs

    think about it, if you weigh 200lbs and its all biceps and lats, you have a huge advantage over someone my weight
    one pound of muscle can lift more than one pound right?
