Well no sound explains it. My buddy doesn't have a bar to throw over, which I explain in the intro part of my video, so we use his tree branch. There's a keg toss event at strongman masters nationals, in training we use a kettlebells and kegs, I didn't post any video of the keg this time. It's actually a great exercise, IMHO.

It changes when I get close to a competition ( like now, nationals is a month away ). I was talking to my coach about this the other day, and we've decided that it probably shouldn't change as much as it has, but that's a thread of discussion all its own.
It's also changed a little because there are some people who come to my house to train on days I normally wouldn't be training. I have a lot of implements and I can't say no to people ( because I want to promote the sport that I love ).
Anyway, my training is basically like this ( it's not perfect there are things I want to change, but it is what it is right now, just know I have a strongman show in a month, after that show my training will look different, more gym lifts ):
Sunday - active recovery/light gym lifts, usually some keg tossing ( it helps lossen up my hips that can get tight after heavy events like farmers and yoke ).
Tuesday - events training ( with the big group ) I only mention the group because it does dictate how the training goes. The bigger the group, the longer it takes, and the more rest between "sets". Lately we typically do, light overhead pressing, farmers, yoke, atlas stones.
Thursday midday - I squat with my pro strongman training buddy/coach. We typically do hang cleans to warm up. Squat, and then do hyper extensions, and rows.
Thursday night - light keg toss, light yoke and thick grip farmers. Thursday night is typically light, but that does vary.
Saturday - events with my coach and smaller group, when we typically go heavy ( to keep up with my training buddy, lol ). heavy overhead press, heavy farmers, heavy truck pulls, heavy stonesLast edited by bigtallox; 10-19-2011 at 04:25 PM.

Well, this isn't exactly training related, but I just wanted to say thanks to my supporters here on this forum. I appreciate all the positive feedback. Thanks everybody. It's kind of nerve racking and stressful trying to prepare for nationals next month ( with all the crap going on in my personal life lately and being sick for 3 weeks, which I'm FINALLY over thank God ).
