SEO crosses the line for me...your thoughts?

If guys are doing AAS, HGH, Insulin etc... these substances cause their muscles to grow larger with intense work...but at least it's still their own muscle and body we are looking at and I'm cool with that. But SEO is like inflating a baloon under the skin, similar to implants and it just ain't right with me. It makes it look as if the muscle is larger and it's totally false. I don't know about you but I loose respect for guys using it.

You can lose respect for A BUNCH of current and past IFBB pro's for this reason. I don't like it for the same reasons as OP. I understand that it's common in the IFBB, but I still think it sucks. Certain things aid muscle growth and that doesn't bother me since you still need to actually train to get your muscle to grow. However, if SEO's aren't frowned upon and the judges aren't actively marking competitors down for it then they might as well allow implants. I don't for one second believe that Jay lost this year's O because of his arm. Phil was just WAY BETTER than him.

If SEO is injected properly, it will be inside the muscle causing the muscle to inflate and still show the muscle fibers underneath the skin. Most of the pros these days are doing it. As for which pros are doing it, that's a good question.

Yeah I hate SEO, it's not bodybuilding. And even insulin, I think borders on this as there seems to be more deposits of fat in the muscle thus its bigger but not 100% muscle.

I absolutely agree with you on this.....after Jay's incident at this years Olympia...I am actually getting turned off to current day bodybuilders all together.....what's the difference in pump muscle full of oil or just getting implants...none in my opinion. Mark my words there is gonna be a huge backlash to all of this soon. What these guys are taking these days is staggering..........it's beyond anything rational

I too must admit that when I first saw Jay's bicep the first thing that came to mind was synthol. My first thought was that it reminded me of Marcus Ruhl. he too has been accused of using synthol in his bi's. It didn't seem to hurt his popularity. I doubt this will affect Jay's either. It will probably blow over fairly quickly. I doubt there will be any backlash. Too much money involved in sponsors. I do wonder if the magazines will airbrush Jay's photos or just go with the torn bicep explaination. I'm not a fan of cheats and let's face it fake boobs and other implants along with synthol is cheating. I'm not judging anyone but just stating an opinion. Hell I don't have any right to judge anyways, I mean I've smoked and drank and done all kinds of crazy sh*t. Hell I've even done a fat chick and a midget from the Carni. (Though not at the same time. Although it does sound intriguing.) 2 cents.

I think its funny how alot of people who accept that IFBB bodybuilders inject a wide variety of anabolic compounds, HGH, peptides, insulin, diuretics, etc etc are somehow above using site enhancement oils. If they can use them , and it helps them get a bigger pump in the gym and allow better muscle growth, or gives them more "pop" when they pose on stage, THEY WILL ****ING DO IT. . Just like all of the above drugs, I have absolutely no problem with it as long as it isn't noticeable and doesn't detract from the physique. I'd mark a guy down if you could visibly see injection bumps all over his back or some other detracting sign of drug abuse (for example, the "roid gut"). And it Jay's case, whose bicep got a better peak and looked noticeably bigger, yeah, I'd mark him down for that too. Before, except for his bicep asymmetry, it wasn't noticeable, so no problem. Last weekend it was blatantly obvious so if I was judging I'd place him lower.

the problem with bodybuilding these days is that there is no line to cross. Today its SEO, who knows what this next ridiculous thing will be. Like you said in the op, maybe implants? Its issues like this that hold back bodybuilding from becoming mainstream or at least accepted by the general public. I got respect for these guys because of the obvious hard work they've put in but boundaries have to be set before the sport becomes ridiculous, if it hasnt already.

Im guessing it's because AAS are suspended in the same or similar type of oil that SEOs are, just without the active ingredients.

The level of retardation/ignorance of people amazes me. They know nothing of it but will proceed to bash it. Constant pinning everyday, and sometimes agonizing pain from fascia stretching.

And lol at some people thinking after one injection you add an 6 inch's to your arms. You'd have to do a strict 30+ day protocol just to MAYBE add half an inch.

If injected properly you can't tell if the person has SEO in the muscle. Only those that mess up the injection (Jay), then you can tell who does it.
