New qualifying rules for Mr. Olympia beginning in 2012!

Cliffs:

-top 4 in each division at previous years' Olympia qualify for the next O
-top 3 in the Arnold qualify
-top 2 in the NY Pro qualify
-only the winner from every other IFBB pro show qualifies

effective immediately...only the top 4 from the 2011 O qualify for the 2012 O

But you could also say that it will help the smaller shows as every other man will be trying to qualify in those.

I really like this, it limits the field and should allow for more direct comparisons and time spent assessing each physique. 30 is too large of a crowd for a contest as prestigious as this in which many competitors have not been given a fair shake

wow only issue i see is some of the big shows u have same guys competing kinda lik kai doin arnold nyshow
so that takes up that qualifying slot its definately gon narrow the competitors

I thought the same thing. Although they do try hard to diet and train hopefully these changes will up the stakes a little. In saying this we may see competitors bring better conditioning to the stage for these mediocre shows.
