True that too much protein can cause acidic blood?

Heard that it can make the blood acidic and so the body uses calcium to neutralize it, causing brittle bones. May be bull**** but if this is true how much protein is too much?

I've never heard that at all. If something like that were true, the amount would have to be ridiculously huge. As for the question how much is too much? Well if you're not on steroids you are fine with 1-1.5g per lbm. If you are on juice you can easily take 2-3g. Our bodies will use what we put in.

Blood pH is tightly regulated and strongly defended to be btw 7.35-7.45 so it will almost never be acidic for long.

Protein causing bone loss is not well supported. Perhaps certain populations under dietary conditions with certain genetic polymorphisms may be more susceptible though.

U know if u breath too fast ur blood starts getting basic from clearing too much c02? theres like 20 ways the body can recover from being too acidic. i wouldnt worry too much about that. what i would worry about is taking in too much protein and not enough other macros so your body burns the aminos for fuel and causes nasty byproducts
Deadlifting 550 @ 180lbs two weeks before a competition gave me 2 inguinal hernias... what did the gym give u this month?
