    Cracked my lower back while squatting

    I dun goofd. Went for a srs squatting session today, and on the last set my legs must've been tired, and crapped out on me. I dropped the bar on the rack and cracked my lower back. I've had minor lower back problems for a while, and I guess this was the last crack (lol). My back hurts like hell, and I'm stopping all physical activity until I get better. Now it hurts to walk, sit and bend over. I'm just glad I'm still able to walk. I took 2 tylenol so far and it's gotten a little better but I'll take some Advil PM tonight and I'll see a therapist soon.

    Something similar happened to me. Was doing deep squats and in the hole felt a pop/crack. The next day it hurt badly an I had the same issues with bending etc.
    Went to physio a month later when it didn't get better from rest. I found out I sprained my back(pulled a ligament on my spine)

    Damn brah, that sucks. I'm sure I don't have that (inb4 I do). I can walk fine, and I'm slightly better than before. My body will recover soon hopefully.

    Don't be. Just make sure you can handle the weight...and do it in a squat rack.
    Things is....my gym, well weight room, has a smith machine only . Wish I had a squat rack.

    If you've had back issues for a while now, even if they are only minor, it could be worth going the doctors about it. But I think resting it is definitely a better option then to continue lifting.
