worst decision iv'e ever heard there will be 10-12 guys at the O maximum now pure bull**** also only 3 guys qualifying at the arnold what a piss take. The IFBB really does have mentally challenged individuals in charge first the 212 now this i'd love to turn weinbergers head into mushy peas with a spade.

yeah where does this leave guys like alves, nunn, liberatore, ect who have a pretty large fan base? there fuked this is purely made to giving these guys no other alternative but to drop down to the 212 in my opinion, i can also see the amount of guys stepping on a pro show getting smaller because allot will feel that 1st place is just out of reach if some of the top 6 are doing the circuit shows.

Lol I think Phil and Jay (if he doesn't retire ) will keep their forces for the Olympia and this leaves Kai, Vic, Wolf, Branch and maybe Dex sharing the rest of the shows. Kai will prolly go only for the Arnold.
Next year the women's physique division will be added IIRC. So less men and more women. Sex sells

I think it's fantastic. We will see a much higher caliber of bb'ers at the smaller pro shows now. Also the Olympia will be what it should be: The very best in the world. No one cares about the guys placing outside of the top 10 anyways, why even have them there?

So Victor, Wolf and Dexter still qualified?
In b4 guys like Brandon, Alves, Hide, etc are never able to qualify again lol let alone the Liberatores of the world.

I love this new rule. So what if the number of competitors decreases it is the biggest bodybuilding show on the planet we want to see winners not people who finish 2nd and 3rd in Pro Shows. Everyone will have to step it up if they are wanting to be at the Olympia next year.

I'm interested to see how this turns out. IMO, part of their motivation to do this was to shorten the time allotted to the Olympia to allow room for the growing amount of other shows.
The Olympia does need to be the best of the best though, 10-12 is a good number for that. I think though if 1st place already is qualified, it should go to second, etc etc. That way you have one person from each show, which is good.
I think they are banking on more shows being done in Asia now. If Sheru is a big success I can see bodybuilding getting more access in the Eastern World (which is a great thing, that is where the economic future lies).Frustrated at bodybuilding? Read my rant:

I dont know if this move has anything to do with the other divisions "crowding out" the Olympia weekend. There are only 24 hours in a day yo.
On the other hand i would like to see an amendment to this 1 contest winner gains a berth, to 1 winner gets a berth, and 2nd and 3rd get half a berth. The 2nd and 3rd must get into a top 3 spot in another contest to get that qualification... Still crappy but better than what they suggested ... Maybe 1,2 get qualified...and 3rd is 1/2 a qualifying spot.
Just my 2 cents.

The biggest benefit will be for the 3-6 place competitors getting more comparisons with the top 2. There were so many guys they had to compare at this show that it limited the times they could be seen with the best. Now that the list of guys at the show will be smaller that means more time lined up against one another to be compared. They will be able to swap people around more and get a better look at everyone next to the guys they need to be seen next to.

I think it's a good idea. No disrespect to the sub-top 10 competitors, but they had NO business and NO hope to be on that stage with those guys. Did they have great physiques? Of course. Did they have Olympia-caliber physiques? By today's standards, no freaking way.
