Best FF in the series, probably logged 200-300 hours playing it (srs).

BTW, you can get as many excaliburs or chaos blades (42 *** auto-regen sword) as you want without cheating. You go into the deep dungeon at the end and put 'catch' on, the high lvl ninjas throw everything.

edit - apparently DPS is a naughty word...

been saying this for years.

they need to have a game with an online lobby like D2 where you can create game rooms to do battles using your own team of 5. in the game rooms themselves you can go off and do quests, level up, etc. and have other people join. then you can request to duel them, set up a multi-way fight even. would be the sickest thing.

Awesome that this thread took off while I was at school. And man I really want to play Tactics Ogre but the only way I could do that would be to download it since I've never owned it nor does any place near me own it. I could order it online but that'd be a hassle..

Waiting for the iphone version to be converted to Ipad. It is due this season, it sucks you dont get much indication of release for iphone/ipad games

Disgaea 3. I've put 50+ hours into it and still haven't finished it. Massive game. You can do a few hundred hours easily.
Huge amount of items and weapons to collect, lots of different enemies.

Disgaea 4 comes out pretty soon.They've improved the graphics a bit. Still got the cartoon look but it's a lot sharper.

anybody play "Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome" ?

It's another tactical game like the ones talked about ITT, it's for the PS2. I had so much damn fun with that game as I was older and understood it more, unlike when I played FFT as a kid lol. If you enjoy FFT and the Disgaea games you should definitely check out Makai Kingdom.

I progressed a bit, got a mediator now, working towards the later magic classes while getting the 'equip sword' and 'equip armor' skill with my knight before i switch him over to a monk. also getting my thief up. maxing squire for ramza too, well almost.

Disgaea only comes out on Playstation and PSP.

I don't know of any turn-based strat/rpg for the iPad or pc.

great game, but too easy. orlandu is overpowered as phuck and being able to raise brave/faith permanently is dumb. had characters with like 97 brave that only had a 5% chance of being hit

It's an old game but Vantage Master V2 had a PC port made. The game is different in the sense that its focus is on summoning.

EDIT: Also check out Battle for Wesnoth, it's still being updated even today.. that's kinda crazy.
