Anarky posted a comparison of his left biceps from 2010 vs 2011, and it really does look like he tore several fibers. Let me see if I can find them.
Edit: 09 vs 2011
Look at the upper biceps right where they originate under the delt. It looks as if a strand of muscle tore.
And if it truly was a tear, swelling (edema) and bruising are common side effects.Bench: 215x12 (17/12/2011) PR since torn RC

Ugh, I really assumed that it was injection gone wrong, but now that I'm looking at it it doesn't seem unreasonable that it could be a tear. It sucks because he probably lost the show due to that. IMO he was improved from last year in terms of conditioning. I guess we see what happens next year.
