    I can't gain any weight/muscle.

I am a 16 year old male and I cant gain any weight or muscle.

I have a naturally small build, but no matter how much I eat and work out I can't gain any muscle.
I currently weigh 55 kilograms and am about 5 "8, I eat roughly 3000 calories a day. Alot of my friends are bigger then I am and they tell me I need to gain fat before I can gain muscle, is this true?

Suggestions for a cheap workouts / supplements / diet, or anything that might work please?

Why would you want to gain fat?

If you're not gaining on 3k kcal, move less, or eat more.

Sleep at least 8h, take a multi, and lift heavy.

If you want to get big, and quick you need to eat like a champ... 3000 calories is only maintenance and another 1000 calories per day if you want to gain 5 lbs/ month. I am not much into ripping therefore i started out a program 3 months ago, I started drinking 1.5L of buffalo milk a day and have gained 7 kgs ( 15 lbs ).I took no other supplements/ protein shakes. Now i am around 160. Yeah I did gain some fat but don't freak out if your waist grows by 1/2 an inch if you manage to gain 1 inch on the chest and shoulders. Now i am looking forward to being 190 lbs by 9 months and then i'll start ripping.

    Good luck.

Hey I would recommend starting strength or Strong-lifts...

My starting weight was 56kg (at 5'6.5) and now I'm 63-64kg. I can deadlift a lot more now that I did Stronglifts. Squats are also great bro
